Jasper....no

We are hopeful that this item may become something that Nissan Motorsports and GA will consider for the 350Z in GAC. We are awaiting results from initial testing and then will talk it over with Nissan Motorsports who will make the final decision on what gets lobbied for.
I have heard that the 3.9 FD is currently one of the items on the list.

I guessed Jasper because I just heard of them, met a couple of the workers at the airport, and then saw a delivery truck with stuff about them building Nextel cup cars. Thanks.

yeh i guess. i mean it is a step up from using plastic materials, however, such companies as borla have shown us the tru meaning of quality and how even metal breaks. Yes, ill be the first to admit the new IM from Kinetix is an amazing looking peice that sparked my fancy from the get-go, but with their past quality issues i have to assume the worse from their new products. i mean, they do have the ability and means to prove me wrong, right?

i want to be their worst critic; if they can satisfy me- then they surely have a winning peice on their hands.

a good example of appear and quality is Mercedes Benz products. my family has owned a benz since i was born and still do, yet im amazed at their continuing escalading prices and degenerating quality. mercedes now ranks 23rd out of 36 car companies for realiability (it seems even this doesnt deter customers of mercedes. last year marked their first year, "up" instead of "down"- but they could be lying also). anyhow, my dad bought a E55 not to long ago and with 178 miles on the clock, a Check Engine Light appears = 4 O2 sensors are dead and if it weren't for the warranty would have cost my dad 328.00 a peice for each sensor, not including labor. around the same time my dad got his car my mom got a new one as well. she bought an SL, needless to say, the gas door wont EVER stay closed and locked and she ALWAYS complains of problems wiht the radio. mercedes can;t figure it out either and has offered to buy back the car in trade for the same car, only a brand new one.

point of my story- looks can be deceiving. its better to expect the worse or rather nothing at all because then your never caught be surprise.

therefore, my opinion about the company and its products will remain the same. if they have learned anything since they have been in business its that their actions tell more than words and show more than character.

john

well, I think after Kinetix's N/A results were posted, a lot of people that were of the "it's gonna lose tons of tq" camp kinda went silent... it definitely proved that it provides very nice N/A gains (15ft/lbs across the entire range for christsakes!)

where the Kinetix shines, though, is with F/I (where the results previously posted aren't really that accurate as they compare the new IM vs the V4 IM - not the stock setup - so the gains that are shown are above and beyond those that were realized with the V4 - ie the reason for the minimal tq gains)

I really think Kinetix set the bar pretty high with this one, but 350EVO's reputation is that it makes the best product out there regardless of price, so I know that this new IM will be the best on the market (at least for N/A apps) but will also have a heft $$$ tag... good luck and I can't wait to see some pics/results!

bwzabodyn, I agree. IMO, the Kinetix only produces average gains (which are actually a little low considering upper intake plenums are making the same power or more) for what it is, and doesn't cost cheap. (N/A at least, for F/I it looks pretty promising)

I think the 350EVO intake manifold will produce greater gains for N/A 350Z's and as long as they can keep the price under $1000-1200 it should be accepted.

Cant argue over a price that isnt set in stone for a product that we havent even shown yet. As I have stated before there is a place for everyone's products in this market. This post started awhile ago jsut to let everyone know what we were up to.
We will just see what we come up with when it is finally released .......and a price is then set.
Until then...all i can say is the 350EVO intake manifold main focus is for those that are going the N/A route. Lets jsut see what we come up with......and no we are not going to rush it thorugh jsut to get it done......we will release it when we are sure its what we want it to be.

350EVO isnt about casting stones at other companies products .....and we wont be. If other companies want to do so....let it be.

Do yourself a favor and buy that ring thing!

Just saying that becasue I just went through all that back in November and getting hitched in Oct of this year.
Testing is still going on and may be for awhile.
The guys at the engine shop are extremly busy right now and only have certin time they can devote to the project. Unfortunately we are low man on the totem pole at the moment....but at least we are on there.

I hope the intake is somewhat symmetrical, I don't know why but the single sided intake isn't that great aesthetically, both the stock and aftermarket ones don't like right to me. Now I know it's function first but I'd love for one of these to look good and have a straight intake like an LS1 where the TB is in the front. Oh well, can't have everything I guess.

I'd also like to thank you guys (and the others,) who have put serious engineering effort behind some of these products. I like the fact that you're engineering a solution for the whole intake system.....I'm excited to see the final product.

I've been hoping for an out-the-front IM too, but after looking at it I'm not sure how they'd be able to flow enough air since there's so little room beneath the hood that way, maybe if they gave us a bulge to add on (like how you can buy just the cowl for the Stillen) then it'd be possible, oh well, I guess we'll see what happens...
