Default probs with injen sp1986 intake

I just recently purchased the injen sp1986 intake and my service engine soon light came on. I disconnected the battery for about 20 min and tryed reseting the ecu that way then I went to technosquares website and printed up a procedure that tells you how to reset the ecu. The procedure that they gave me I tryed it about 10 times and I got nowhere with this thing. If anyone has had this problem can you please give me some advice on how I can fix this or what should I do?

you have to disconnect the battery for 24 hours for that method to work. The technosquare way is easy to do, you just have to get the timing down. Use a stopwatch if it helps.

TS method just takes practice, ive done it so many times i can pretty much do it by memory, just take go through and practice each part with a stop watch. After you get it a few times it will become like second nature.

you could get a plug in scanner reader thing and use that to reset the codes for like $80. Of course, you'll still have to wait for it to detect what car you have etc.

check for leaks, MAF plugged in, MAF Sensor the correct way, Vacume hose plugged in, thats the most likely cause of a SES Light on an intake, in regards to reseting the ECU, i have done the technosquare many times, just practice the routine a few times to get the timing down before you go to do it on your car.

If it is any of the above most of the tiem the SES light will turn off either immediatly or shortly thereafter.
