Thumbs up Fujitsubo Stainless Exhaust Install + Video & Pics

Hey everyone

Well I had the pleasure of kickin it with Amit (bhashaZ) this morning and we installed his Fujitsubo Legalis R Stainless exhaust + Stainless Fujitsubo Y Pipe. All in all the exhaust took us 2 hours to install, but there was about 30 mins there where me and him didnt really do any real work, so work only, it takes about 1 hour 30 mins to install (thats taking ur time, etc.) We've got some pictures here for everyone. Hopefully these will help provide everyone with a good idea of how the entire exhaust looks from angles, underneath, straight on, etc since there seems like theres not too many posts with pics and stuff on the Fujitsubo.

Additionally, we took some video of my car and Amit's car doing a little 1-3/4 gear runthrough to give you guys a good idea about what the exhaust sounds like with just the catback version, and also what it sounds like after a popcharger and a high-flow cat setup is added.

But for now here are the pics. Im pretty sure Amit will post up the videos later once we learn how to shrink them down from the avi file size set on the camera right now.

Enjoy (Pics)

Thanks Bryan for helping me out! It was really fun getting underneath the car and doing it ourselves versus paying someone to do it. All in all, it was pretty simple to do. And the fact there there's two of us really helped make things easier. We ended up wasting some time since I had to go next door and borrow a torque wrench and a 14mm deep socket (I ended up spending 20 mins talking about the guys MR2). Anyways, the most difficult part of the entire install was getting the old rear muffler section off! Those pesky rubber mounts didn't want to let go of the muffler! Besides that, everything else was straightforward.

As for the exhaust itself, I'd have to say it sounds totally awesome! Describing sound is very subjective, but overall I'd say that the exhaust is quite mellow. When you start the car, it sounds deeper and more subdued. Driving the car normally, it sounds like it is a bit quieter, at least inside the cabin. From outside, it sounds close to stock, but just deeper/lower. When you get on it, it sounds like a deeper/amplified version of stock, both when inside the car as well as from outside. I didn't drive it long enough to notice any droning, but I honestly don't think there will be an with this exhaust.

Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this setup! Thanks Bryan for letting me hear your exhaust--you sold me on the Fujitsubo the first time you rev'd it! Plus now my car actually looks complete on the outside with the huge tips filling up the ings rear, versus having the tucked in, dinky stock tips!

I'll get videos up as soon as I compress them and find a place to host them!

Once again, thanks a lot for your help Bryan!

Congrats on a great choice. I had a Fuji exhaust but wacked it a few times and developed some alignment and cracking issues. I went with a Borla TD this time around. I know a lot of folks swear by the Borla, sounds great etc, but to me it was a big mistake. The Borla sounds like crap, especially compared to the authoratative throaty and consistant growl of the Fuji.

Great choice, Enjoy!

Thanks guys for the compliments! ZinMiami, what exactly happened to your exhaust, so I can avoid damaging mine?

This setup is perfect for me since it sounds similar to stock, especially inside the cabin. Outside, it just sounds like a crisper, sexier version of stock! Only thing I will be adding will be a Pop Charger in about a month or so.

As a side note, if you guys love how your car looks, ask someone else to drive it down the street. I was honestly surprised at how much better it looked driving down the road versus just standing there! Both myself and Bryan got to view our respective cars in action!

Thanks guys for the compliments. As far as the but dyno, I honestly didn't feel like there was a huge difference, but then again if you all have seen my threads, I really haven't driven my car much since early April. But I'm sure there are definately some gains. Even if not, the sound is just so smooth that it's well worth it anyways! Plus as you guys say, it fills the rear bumper really well.

I'll get the videos up so you guys can see a difference. They're off my digi-cam, so the quality isn't that great. Is there any way I can compress them? Right now they're in the raw avi format (I think) so it's too big to upload. Any suggestions?
