Default Strup Tps Installed - issue came up

After installing my strup tp's i noticed that as my revs decline, i hear a loud buzzing vibration coming from some part of the exhaust. Have any of u had a similar problem? Im pretty sure its just the exhaust piping vibrating against the car, but if that is problem I want to know what someone did to silence it. I really want to get rid of this god forsaken sound! My stock exhaust sounds so nice with the tps on it and that damn buzz is ruining it!

Its not rattling on anything. Its the TP make noise from backpressure from the rpm decline apparently. I had the same issue so your going to have to live with it.

my testpipes were hitting the heatshields so i ended up bending them back and eventually taking them off. If its really loud its the heat shields if not its just the normal buzzing

just check for clearance. What post #2 is talking about is a distinct hissing noise associated with test pipes on the VQ. Sounds like a hiss on decel. Very loud.

I was with him when he installed it, it sounds very nice but like he said when the revs decline, it kinda sounds like a rattling sound...

It sounds like metal rattling. If u like I can get a video clip of it and post. Why would strup release a design that makes such a craptastic sound to ruin such a nice setup?

Most TP's have some sort of buzzing or raspy sound. I had the Strups on for 3 days then took them off and they became paper weights until I was able to get a full exhaust but that car is gone now. I just couldn’t handle the sound for the little amount of power I felt. Not sure if they will bolt up to the 07 exhaust though hmm ..maybe I'll try.
