I've been looking all over youtube for some exhaust clips because I'm still very unsure about which exhaust I'm going to buy (pretty much narrowed it down to the HKS and the Injen SES Ti). I found this video of the Injen (I don't think it's the TI), and it sounds really weird, makes me not want to buy the Injen

What is that weird crackling sound? Any ideas?

 

I'm willing to be its test pipes. My Nismo sounds like that right now.

Yup, test pipes! Injen is a loud exhaust..lots of rasp and droning!

You are driving at about 60 MPH with the windows up. The noise level inside the car is loud enough so that it competes with the audio system.

 

That sound you are hearing is called sh1tty video recording, in real life the exhaust sounds nothing like that

Plus, usually people do not just sit around revving their engines. they DRIVE the car under load which makes the exhaust sound totally different

sound clips fault or not the Injen exhaust is nothing to brag about when it comes to the quality of sound. The design is top knotch looking, but for sound... you could do a lot better. I've heard Injen in person and it sounded like a upgraded fart pipe.

 

lol...you hit it square on the head! Its simply noise you hear inside the cabin from the exhaust. The Injen is a nice exhaust, but be aware it can get to levels that are ridiculously loud. I rate my exhausts by daily driver, weekend and race. This exhaust fits in my weekend category. It gets anoying when driving miles to and from work.
