tony, you were 100% right on about the fact that the resonator needed time to "break in"... it sounds COMPLETELY different today from when it did yesterday (and in that video)... so much smoother now, and the rasp is almost completely gone...

in fact i was so proud of the way the exhaust sounded today, that i gave two of my buddies a ride to show it off... they both loved it... one of them hates loud raspy exhausts, and he said that he loved the way it sounds... honestly if it wasnt for emissions laws i would keep it the way it is... i cant say enough good things about the XYZ with resonator...

im gonna have to make more videos i think...
Eugene I noticed that when I was going through the videos that's why I only included 2 vids of your car. Remember mine sounded the same until the resonator was broken in.

I knew it would sound better when you got home. Can't wait to see the vids of it.

Yeah im really surprised that something as simple as a resonator (atleast it seems simple) would have a break in period and the sound would be so affected... im trying to find someone local to help me shoot the videos... i dont have a good quality camera..

you gonna like the XYZ and resonator... but give it a couple of days of good driving for the resonator to break in before you make the vids...

you would have to ask hydrazine about his mods the white z is his car. The black z had stock cats with the xyz pipe and shockwave so yours should sound deeper and a little louder than the black z since you have HFC.

I think there should be a separate thread for the videos. It will be a PITA for people to look for the videos through all these pages.

I like the variety of exhaust set-ups one can choose. MotorDyne is doing big things for us G/Z members.

Yes, I agree, this thread is getting large. In any case, I will organize the videos and put them at the first post of this thread.

It will take some time, but once everything starts to settle it will coalesce nicely.

Is it just my computer or is the "Edit" button missing from the forum?

I think you need a subforum all to yourself! The site is undergoing changes and the ability to edit posts (after a certain time period) is no longer available (even for premier members ).

When will your website have some of the info on it. I don't want to read this entire thread but I want to find out more about the different configurations and the catalytic converter specs.
