Did they use thread sealer on the sensors, drop them, what's the code?

No and i dont think it's necessary, i mean it does offer extra assurance...

It's gone now, hope it won't come back

By the way, i have a question just to make sure it's not exhaust leak Tony.. I have this hissing sound when i let go of the gas pedal and rpm hits about 1.5k. Is that normal?

Just want to make sure since after installing the art pipes, my mpg has dropped by 2-3 mpg and my driving habits have not changed

i know this info is probably somewhere in the 27 pages of stuff but figured id just post and ask..

what are the 06 guys with the Mrev2, 5/16th iso, intake, MD XYZ (resonated) and dual shockwave seeing with these ART pipes added on? I am looking to have my car tuned with osirus but i may hold off and pick these pipes up then get the tune... any ballpark numbers? I already have test pipes and i am wondering if these are worth the $600 per HP i might gain..?

Hi 06hsv

To answer your questions, please see the listing below:
Please note that all answer is based of your 06 being (rev-up engine)

1. Rev-up would require you to have the MREV2 first before the 5/16 would do you any good. MREV2 along will get you a minimum 15HP/18TQ gain and with the addition of 5/16 spacer you'll get extra 6~ or so HP.

2. Since each car is different and you are throwing in a lot of variations here, I can't really help you answer the questions without you do a dyno yourself after. But I am confident to tell you that through countless independent dyno results, shockwave produces the most power gain over conventional cat back exhaust system for the 350z and G35 vehicle.

3. ART is not like any test pipes out there. ART race pipes is known for the following 3 points.

a. ART race pipes give you substantial gains at low end power band and higher overall gains on top of the test pipes.

b. ART race pipes will reduce drone and rasp where conventional test pipes will be all about drone and rasp.

c. ART race pipes are engineered to not throw off engine light where conventional test pipes would have.

I hope this would help you differentiate the difference a bit more and if you have any more questions, please always feel free to send us an email at tech@motordyneengineering.com

Here is the link we've recently put up that has the dyno results and a video of our 2008 Nismo 350z with just Shockwave catback and ART race pipes. It made 317 HP / 272 TQ to the wheel with these two bolt ons alone + tune.

That would be me right there, actually. There's a link to my review somewhere in here...

There: https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exha...art-pipes.html

However, the review was done with a different setup than what I'm running right now. Either way, the TDX yielded a ton of usable power and torque in addition to what I had at that time, so that's still saying something significant.

My advice would be to get the pipes and then get your car tuned. I think it's definitely worth the money. I have other, newer videos in that YouTube account linked within the review if you want to see how it sounds now.

LOL +!

Most of the guys (including myself) who has put on the ART Pipes found that droning from the previous setup has been reduced especially in the lower RPM. It also sounds deeper.

Did you know ART also doesn't rasp like your conventional test pipes?

This is a true work of "ART" for our cars and it does wonders to the low end power. You'll probably find this the single best power mod investment to your car as long as you stay NA.

Please always feel free to send us inquires and questions to Tech@motordyneengineering.com We'll be more than happy to help

This is what some people are reporting from subjective listening comparisons.

And note: This is in comparison to test pipes and HFC's, not stock cats.

These will clearly make more power than conventional test pipes.

I will be able to report tomorrow what the difference is between these and OEM cats through Headers, an XYZ with resonator and an Agency Power Ti.

My ARTs are out for delivery now and go in in the morning.

*EDIT*

ARTs came, only unwrapped one.

Sounds and feels great!

Drone is the same as with the oem cats, it's only slightly louder.

hmmm, my MD exhaust drones with stock cats. So the ARTs may or may not reduce drone in MY situation?

edit: i guess post #535 kinda answers my question...
