Has anyone dyno'd their non-revup DE's yet (untuned)? If so, what were your results? I tried searching and couldn't find any results.

ok, i finally got my ART pipes fitted to my HR Z. I will start a new thread with full results and maybe a vid or 2.
Suffice to say, awesome power gain and excellent sound quality, no drone, no rasp just as deep sounding but louder than with the stock cats.

We try.

I know the EU has different catalytic converter requirements than here in the states, maybe that has something to do with it?

Default ART's with F/I

Do you diminish the gains had by ART's if your F/I?

It hasn't been tested FI yet. We still have a dyno rebate for that test.

You sure you're not talking about rasp? Test pipes are infamous for having it.....not sure about the ART pipes though

I'm not sure what the cause of the hissing sound is, but here's what i can tell ya: when i had the ART pipe with stock HR y pipe, it had the hissing sound when i let off gas. When i installed the Motordyne XYZ + HFC, the hissing sound was 99.9% eliminated. The hissing sound is not installation error - it's pretty common with test pipes for some reason... Just check out Youtube for exhaust + test pipe combo and you'll hear the hissing sound in almost every video.

Btw, i just switched out the XYZ pipe for megan y pipe. There was a noticeable low end torque loss with the XYZ pipe but now it's back to normal

awesome, thanks.^ glad i didnt spend 400$+ on an xyz and got a used aam

also if you changed y pipes and the hissing went away then i would think it has to do something with the way the y pipe merges to the exhaust

^^ or maybe the XYZ HFC eliminated the sound

but yes AAM i heard was the most bang for the buck vs power y pipe. I was trying to buy it but seller did not bite... so ended up with Megan.. Still does the work

Usually the sound was from test pipes, or hfc being used with a stock Y-pipe w/ heat shield. For some reason the heatshield was the culprit, and removing it or using an aftermarket would take of that.

What's the rest of your exhaust system, nismonian? Are your inlet/outlet diameters matching up through the rest of the exhaust?
