Default vq35hr PCV valve question

So, I'm looking into making my own 3 inch intake for my HR. The one issue I'm running into is the PCV valve.

I've seen some turbo guys connecting them directly to vent filters like this:

Amazon Amazon

Instead of routing them back into the intake? would that be safe to do in this application? If I can use those instead of routing them back into the intake I will be able to save over $100 and a LOT of time on this project.

Thanks

do it, lots of people do this without any negative effects. Just to clear up, you mean a filter on the crankcase and cap in the intake itself right

On my custom intakes, i just deleted the pcv on the passenger side intake pipe, and kept the one on driver side.. since it's all routed there anyways.

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure it didn't require vacuum from the intake

How do you delete the PCV though? Just put a filter on top of the valve stem? Or did you unscrew the whole valve out and used another piece to screw back in with a filter on top of it?

Do you have any kind of forced induction on your vehicle? If not I would not recommend this if your staying naturally aspirated, especially with the stock ecu and living in cali.

Just because you can do it, does not mean it will do anything positive for the car. Let me explain, piston rings don't seal 100%, so pressurized gasses from the combustion process i.e. "blow by" will then pressurize the crank case. This is even more prevailing on our engines. Pressurizing the crankcase is not good, it can lead to blown out crank seals, oil leaks, etc... So the crankcase gasses have to be vented through the PCV system, which recycles the air back into the intake tract. Now if you want to just vent it to the atmosphere with an "open pcv system", you obviously will accumulate a mess over time at the site of your crankcase breather, the crankcase can't measure any amount of negative pressure that can be beneficial for the piston rings and its more importantly, due to you living in California, not SMOG LEGAL! I f you want to vent it to the atmosphere then obviously there is the simple fact that no oil residue will return to the intake tract and is most suitable for race cars that are turbocharged. Now just deleting it and blocking it off, I cant see any merits to that and I know for a fact that our cars with the stock ecu idle very sporadic and don't make any more power with an open pcv system.

Default pcv delete system for vq35hr

Hi, i've been wondering if it is save or beneficial to delete pcv system in use for forced induction in HR cause i've read somewhere that this application suits only NA. If someone can clear my doubt that would be helpful, thank you.
