Default Still confused about Kinetix dyno #s......

I'm not really sure if I want the plenum only, or the plenum + cat package. I've seen the few dynos, but I'm not convinced the Hi-flows are worth it. AllBarks #s show a nice increase with the plenum and cats, but the dyno with just the cats was unimpressive. Maybe the cats would have shown more of a gain if they were installed and dynoed after the plenum. So is everybody going for the package? or just the plenum?

Well, I already had the pipe with resonators on order so I only went for the plenum, I am going to try and do before and after dynos.

Most people will do both in any way, be it Kinetix cats and Plenum or RT/Ultimate Racing cats and Crawford plenum.

The SAE corrected numbers narrowed the difference between those 2 mods, from the dynos that he posted a day or two after the original ones.

I had similar thoughts, I think get the cats from somewhere else which have bigger gains. But be sure to check that they dont make any buzzing or raspy noises.

I think after the SAE correction, the cats showed a peak gain of about 8-9hp and the plenum showed a similar gain of about 8-9 for a total peak gain of 17hp

Just to add my .02... The Kinetix Cats seem to be dynoing as high as any I've seen. In fact, there is almost no difference in dyno results between either the Crawford or Kinetix cats, when compared to straight pipes. However, I suspect that there would be a little more difference between the RTs and straight pipes, because of their smaller cross-sectional area. I personally would opt for either the Crawford or Kinetix pipes. In fact, as soon as I get my tax money, the straight pipes are coming off and high flow cats are going on.
