SES Light Just Came On
As I was driving to work today my SES light just popped on. My only mods are an Injen Dual Cat-Back, NISMO CAI and ACT clutch. Is there a history of any of these mods causing a problem on an 03 Touring? Bad gas maybe? How is the reset done on the Z? I tried the same reset as an 04 Spec-V but with no result...
first thing you should do is check your gas cap and make sure it clicks more than once. the only thing right now that i can think of related to your mods is your intake. if you have a leak after your mass air flow sensor you could be getting to much air and having the ecm think its too lean. check and make sure you CAI all tight. the only other thing with the CAI is too much oil on the filter which can kill your mass air flow sensor in a heartbeat. but in this case you would most likely see a drivability before this and after the CEL came on. you might not necessarily would have the drivability issue all the time either. if none of that is the problem then i would have to look and see what code it is. i would still see what code it is before you replace or spend any money or a large amount of time.
I've searched the forum about the SES reset and can't find the proper way to do so.. All of my CAI connections are tight and I don't appear to have any holes in any of the vacuum hoses. As of now my battery is unhooked so maybe that will do it. If anyone knows the "key/gas pedal" method let me know. I am hoping it was a bad batch of gas...

Ok, threw 2 codes,
P0442 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (small leak)
P0456 ?
These are codes for a Nissan Spec-V but I assume these are the same for a 350...
Couldn't find a desciption for P0456, any help?
I did the reset and it is staying off for now...

many dual exhausts may damage the evap canister if it is not properly relocated.
it should be an easy fix if you find someone who knows what to do.
you should relocate it slightly and make sure all the hoses are intact.
