I have a deal set up to purchase this Z in SoCal... I got the carfax report on it and it has a salvage title ... I brought it to the nissan dealer to have it checked out and since in CA there isn't an annual state inspection for safety like other states, I had to specifiy some things for them to check... I had them check the seatbelts airbags and whatnot however they told me they were not qualified to inspect the frame... the car drives straight does not pull to one side or the other all the doors close fine and are straight however there is very minimal damage to the passenger side door (noticeable to the eye when looking at it slight paint chipping but doesnt draw ur attention unless looking for it... I am curious whether you all think it is worth the money to have it checked by a body shop or with the findings so far that it should be alright ... im attaching pictures of it the milage is 45k and the engine and tranny drive strong (the dealership said it didnt "look" like there was anything out of the ordinary with the frame however they did not want to put theyre *** out there on the line for something they are not qualified to diagnose...

I know its worth it to have it looked at however i just dropped X amount of dollars at the dealer for them to inspect what they could but just thought I would get opinions first.

Well im 99% sure I am going to buy it this week anyhow just thought some people might have insight to issues I have not thought of yet... anyhow I am stoked in becoming a Z owner soon and look forward to meeting fellow SoCal Z drivers (esp. other Bricks )! By the way I live in Temecula...

 

Well I am officially a BY Z owner!!!! anyhow what a feeling it is to belong to such an amazing car group, I hope to meet up with some fellow SoCal Z owners soon. Just need to fix my window regulator motor now, AutoZone all the way thanks to all the helpful drivers here.

Cool, yea I will post better pictures once I detail it... unfortunately these are the only ones I have right now and they were from the seller. I'll update them in my new member post sometime next week.
