Yeah i tried to reset mine and it worked for a week or two then it came on again, I reset it again, off for another 2 days, back on reset again and now it still comes back on. Im about to use the black electrical tape method cause i hate my dealerships service department with a passion.

One of my friends with an 03 Track 2 months ago had his airbag module replaced. Following is what he emailed me.
"Airbag light started flashing. They ran the computer diagnostics and found it was a known problem with the drivers seat airbag and a wire being caught or something like that. They are changing the whole module. They turned the flashing off but it has just come back again. Don’t know if airbag is working or if it is just the wire giving a fault reading. Not wanting to test the airbag at this point in time."
Airbags aren't something you want to be messing with if you don't know what you are doing. Don't want to hear someone's airbag went off whilst driving.

So after u do this, the airbag light should turn off afterawhile on the ON position, right?

I've tried the airbag reset procedure Many times now with no luck, it only changes the light in and out of diagnostics mode, the flashes read the left and right side airbags have a problem. any ideas on what this means, and how to fix it, in trying to avoid going to the dealership, thanks

airbag reset procedure (taken from my racing seat install thread):
For the Airbag Reseting procedure…You must first change the SRS system to self-diagnosis mode, and then back to user mode to clear the airbag fault you might be getting after unplugging the side-impact seat airbag and driving with the car..
How to Change to Self-Diagnosis Mode:
1. Turn Ignition switch from OFF to ON.
2. Within 1 second after air bag warning lamp is on for 7 seconds and turns off, turn OFF ignition switch
3. After ignition switch is turned off, wait for more than 3 seconds.
4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 twice. (perform 3 times in total)
5. Turn ignition switch ON again (turn to Diagnosis Mode.)
Turn to USER mode
1. Turn Ignition switch to OFF to ON.
2. Within 1 second after airbag warning lamp is on for 7 seconds and turns off, turn off the ignition switch.
3. After ignition switch is turned OFF, wait for more than 3 seconds.
4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 twice (perform 3 times in total)
5. Turn ignition switch ON again (Turn to User Mode)
Your Airbag light should no longer flash while driving…

I just got this problem and your steps above worked perfectly. They tore up the road where I work, but I still have to drive on it for about 2/10th of a mile. Probably rattled the sensor or some of the wires a little too much.
For those of you who had trouble with this, make sure when you switch the ignition off, you only go back one click (ie: you should not be able to pull out the key at that point). I think if you go back too far, such as enough to pull out the key, the reset cycle doesn't complete.

Flashing airbag lights
I was driving the other day and the airbag light started flashing. Took it to the dealer and they told me that the airbag module had an open circut and had to be replaced at the cost of $600 plus dollars. Have anyone else had or now of this????? Still the Original seat.....

My friends G35 had the airbag light also. He took it to the dealer and they said that the airbag sensor or something like that had gone bad. They charged him like 400 to fix it. I have had that light on my z for about a year already, but I don't want to dish out the money to fix it.

Before you shell out the $$ for the airbag, you might want to try this:

I had my airbag module replaced under warranty when it started flashing. About a year later it started doing it again so I tried the procedure above. It worked like a charm.
