Default Hit and Run

Okay first I would like to introduce myself. Im a freshmen in college, I have a 05 z for just under a year now. I keep it in great condition. Now before anyone says anything about me being to young and how all people my age who have a Z are just stupid, reckless, rude, ect. I don't race mom's and their mini vans or civics with fart cannons. So please I dont want any bashing on my age. Anyways I am sorry for steering off course. My Z has been kept in great condition up until this morning. I drove to school and went on the usual 30 minute quest to find a parking spot. After finding one i pull into it and park my car. On my driver side is a brand new black camaro ss on the other side some lil truck. I am always skeptical about parking next to people because i hate thinking that someone will hit the z with their door. But I figure someone with a new camaro will be careful. About an hour later I leave class to find my car in not so great shape.

Now I dont know if this was the camaro (which wasnt there when I saw the after math of a horrible crime). But I do plan on hunting that camaro down to see if it has any damage to it. It wouldn't be to hard to find the right one since there are only about 8 new camaros in my area only a few being the ss version and only that one being black.

Now my poor Z looks pretty bad. This is more of rant because I have no one to express my feelings to since I dont know anyone here. But I was wondering what you guys think would be an estimate on the cost it will take to fix this. If it is to much I was thinking of just buying some rear fenders off a vendor.

Thats a tough repair. it will have to be drilled, pulled, filled and painted. Everything can be repaired opposed to replaced.

If you went with new "quarters" you are talking big bucks.

Depending on the area you live I would say around $1,000+ in paint and repairs.

FYI it will be tough getting a clean job on the front of your wheel opening.

Good luck keep us posted

A LOT!!! but anyway check with your school administrators and see if you have cameras in the parking lot. most schools do. then report it and maybe insurance would pay for it...after all-thats what its for..! lol

Yea where i parked there were no cameras. But If the person has a parking pass they might be able to find him. Im not saying that the camaro was the one that did it, but it was the same color paint that was rubbed onto my car. I just hate how badly the people here drive (im in college station). Its like they havent ever driven a car before. I have seen 3 wrecks in the last week. and im tired of all these mustang pulling up to me and downshifting expecting me to race them.

Why don't you just hand the work over to your insurance? Let them pay for it, it's gonna cost you an arm to fix that.

Agree. Dings happen. Sorry.

You are not a investigator conducting a Who doneit? inquest. I assume that the car is insured. Go get it fixed.
