Unhappy 03 350z - p1143 and p1164

Pulling both pending codes, Megan racing test pipes. Any ideas if just going to actual cats will fix this? I just did both bank 1 camshaft position sensors along with so many other sensors . Should I just go back to cats and get a nicely breathing cat back?

If it were me,I'd take your car to a tuner and really see whats going on
instead of throwing parts at it.Your slip probs have nothing to do
with your test pipe concerns. What size tires are you running?
I'd think I would start there in looking why you are getting the slip
readings.

Hmm, I'll have to find a decent tuner or Nissan specialist, I just heard from some people that the vdc and slip will trigger with a bad camshaft or crankshaft sensor.

So! I replaced all of them, and got.........nothing!!! Anyway everything is stock, 245/45 and 225/45.

I'll head to a tuner to see, but I'd like a little insight just in case a "specialist" wants to bend me over

You are correct. A bad camshaft position sensor or a bad crankshaft position sensor will trigger the VDC and SLIP lights. That can also happen with a bad throttle position sensor.

However, when any of these sensors goes bad, the engine also runs poorly (dies, sputters, etc.).

There is nothing wrong with your tires sizes as someone else suggests.

Something else… and you probably don’t want to hear this…

I had a similar problem that was fixed replacing a camshaft position sensor, but not with the first replacement. A week later the car was running poorly again. As it turned out the new sensor was faulty. I replaced the same sensor a second time, and all was good. The dealer claimed this was not unusual.

Well crap… you hate throwing parts at a fix, but sometimes it’s your only option.

I'm sorry, I forgot I gave the symptoms on another thread that died since I didn't have any information at the time.

My car is running like a straight pos. I randomly get a p0300. So I took it to the dealership. They said bank 1 was running lean on their monitor and they wanted to rip my intake apart. I promised them it was not the intake because ever since this randomly happened one day, for absolutely no reason, and I've been throwing intelligent guesses at it ever since. New spark plugs, tested coils, complete intake cleaning, new gaskets, proper torque procedure, cleaned my fuel rails, new throttle body, new crankshaft position sensor (because the dick that installed my tranny bent the rear main seal over and it leaked on the cps, and both new intake and exhaust cam position sensor.

Besides the p0300 and Nissan saying it ran lean on bank 1, it has a rough idle which levels out after about 15 seconds and when I give it gas, it dogs, bucks, and sputters. The only time it seems alright is at WOT.

I am literally losing my mind because I can't figure this out. I've thrown everything logical that I can think of at it.

To me, the next logical idea is to put stock or high flow cats on it, only because it's saying bank 1 sensor 1 is lean and bank 1 sensor 2 is rich.
