Question air bag light

Code is pulling up driver side, side impact sensor open. Anyone run into this? All wires appear to be connected I try not to mess to much with airbags. It doesn't effect car or me passing inspection but hate a blinking light on dash. I can clear with my Mac code scanner but it just comes back. Otherwise the system tests fine.

Thanks in advance

You should get this analyzed/fixed right away. This requires a visit to the dealership.

Why are you (how could you be) missing a wire inside the seat?

Because it's the sensor for side airbag in the seat. Wiring diagram showed sensor in seat not sure if that's even correct

Unless the car has been hit or the sensor/harness has been disturbed (removed from the car, cut, etc...), 95% of the time, it's the diagnostic sensor unit causing the code. It's the metal box in the console with the 3 yellow connectors. If you decide to replace it, be sure the battery is disconnected and only use hand tools, no power tools on the bolts holding it in.

Just thought I'd add this here also... If you ever get a driver's airbag (in the steering wheel) code, it's almost always the spiral cable.
