Hopefully this will force Nissan to accept their design failures and do the right thing.

Will someone record this and make it available on the web for those of us not in the NY metro area?

I'm in the same boat. Negative camber will be significantly increased when lowering with any springs. Some will keep the camber within Nissan's "acceptable range" other will not. Hotchkis will. I'm right at the limit. I had an alignmt done after I installed the Hotchkis TVS Stage 1. The data is posted at:

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....25#post1397725

I just put on new Eagle F1 GS-D3s and I'm watching the tire wear VERY closely. If I observe severe camber wear then I'm going for adjustable camber arms and/or cross rotation.

I just have to say, it's nice not listening to the RE040s!

It's supposed to go Nationwide since its sweepsweek. You will probably be able to go to CBS New York's homepage to view it once it's aired.

Bad news, I have been delayed as they are gathering more interviews. They are interviewing the attorney's from the class action lawsuits in PA and CA. They are also interviewing various car magazine editors about the car as well. Apparantly some of them have 350Z's as long term test vehicles and they want to include those in the story, unfortunately 2003s. Hopefully the story will go longer than 2:30 now that they are getting more stuff and they better include the 04's.

I hope not, but they claim are still getting more information according to them. They are coming back on Friday to do another story with me on another topic.

It seems legit to me that they are doing more interviews. This is a pretty big topic. I don't think they want to air a damaging report like this based on one interview. I am glad they are digging deeper. If they feel this is a real story they may do a 60 minutes type segment instead. That is what I have been hoping for all along. It usually takes nationwide bad press to get a car company to own up to mistakes like this.

I hope it's not wishful thinking, but I do think they feel they are on to something more than a local 2 minute slot.

I can go to the dealer that's 1 mile from me and be told totally different
things than the dealer just 45 minutes from me.

Before giving up, try shopping around for "dealers." (Who said anything about drugs? Not me . . .)

The dealer I'm "having a long distance affair with" is replacing my fronts AND letting me switch brands if I pay any difference over OEM's . . .

Oh . . . and of course they're paying for the alignment to be done under the new specs, AND, letting me do the tire-brand swap from OEM's to whatever i want HERE as opposed to there (45 min. away), at the shop of MY CHOICE (pretty awesome, huh?) which also just happened to be the ONLY place in town that would dare handle the rays ultralights @ 2k a pop with me watching them like a HAWK for scratching issues . . .

well my '04 Touring with 19888 miles just came back from the dealer with the feathering issue, and the car was made one week after the cut off point from the '03 models (9/5/03) and they refuse to pay for the alignment and front tires.

Well time to switch out all 4 of my Nissans ('99 Maxima, '04 350Z, '04 Infiniti QX56, '05 Altima SE-R)

20,000 is not that bad. I don't plan on getting more than 25,000 with non agressive driving. Although, I think Nssan should ar least compensate you something.

For those of you with the patience for a Lemon Law suit use my attorney Kimmel & Silverman. They have offices in PA, NJ, DE, NY, MA, and MD. They are not billing me for my case as long as I keep them infomed and I participate in the case. It will take a few months, but I don't care. I am going to stick my car up Nissan's butt as far as I can get it.

The news story got 5 minutes of air time last night. It even made the A block of the news. Just before the story aired I just got a call from Kirstin Cole who said a VP from Nissan wants to speak with about my case now. Hehehe... Suddenly I am now getting call backs from Nissan..
I have been trying to call Nissan for the last two weeks trying to get repairs on my car done with no call backs. Dealership has refused to work on my car anymore unless Nissan orders them to. What a company..

Default Great news!

Station has ***** to criticize big company. Nice to see someone listen to the regular joe. I was very skeptic about this airing. This is great for all of us because the fall out will expose all years and those with or without the problem. Outstanding work.

Congratualtions and great job on all the hard work and pushing for the cause. I hope this makes them take care of everyone and not just deal with your individual incident. I looked on CBS' website and couldn't find the news story. Have they posted it up yet?

Thanks

Did you record it? Any chance of posting a digital copy. I would like to see it. I checked the CBS New York site, nothing yet.
