After that race, I will put it back on again and make more adjustments. I have a very good understanding of what to do now too. I have been talking with Jared from Uprev too via email. I am very confident I can get it working 100%. Once that happens, I will buy some PPE longtubes and wait for mw9 to make the custom plenum. When he is done, I want to slap all that on the car and see where we are at.

your welcome I knew something was wrong.
Once you understand how Uprev work , its no black magic.

WOW! That is quite a difference. The other guy must have had no idea what he was doing.

Sorry for no updates. I've been working to get the car ready for the race next weekend. The following week I get back though, I will get back to work on this. I am confident I can get it working now.

I took my car to get put on the dyno the other day too. Engine is dying for sure. It only made 239 first pull. I brought my Uprev with me and messed with some tuning. This particular shop did not have Uprev, but he let me use my laptop and we kind of tuned it together. Ended up getting 248 and about 13 more ft lbs when we were done. Car made 260whp a couple years ago with less mods, so its def dying. Working with that guy at the dyno shop though, I learned a lot about the MAF tuning and some other things. It shouldn't be a problem. I have really high hopes.

Poor motor! I think it needs a 11:1 refresh! Not that it has ever made any more power but it will wake up the motor at least

Yea it has about 3 years of road racing on it and 76k miles. Compression slowly gets lower every year. Plans to rebuild this winter which is the whole reason for this thread; to get all the bugs worked out with this so I know it will be good to go when the motor is built. I'm thinking 12:1

What fuel do you plan on using for 12:1? What class will you go into after the motor build?

I will be using the same fuel I use now. 104 unleaded Sunoco GT Plus.

I did get some codes early on. I posted the code number in this thread somewhere, but it was Throttle Actuator codes. Once I got it working better, I was no longer getting any codes.

Interested to see your gains over the 75. Did you change anything else when you went to the 90mm TB?

no just the 90mm, still running 4" intake pipe.

im planning to have the stock 75mm on, then switch to 90 and tune some all on the dyno. to see the real difference.

so you have it running properly just on uprev? who made the adapter plate?

This is way more interesting than the 75mm tb. more details and pics.

Agreed

The 87mm that I have is practically PNP as far as needing to tune the TB voltages. I never changed anything in the TB table and it worked fine. I just need to work on getting the 4" intake working and larger MAF. Updates on that to come next week.

Yea, the car went into limp mode. The big issue I had all along was incorrect wiring. Once that was corrected and I left the battery disconnected over night it fired right up. Now, my car is not really driven on the street. I drove it around the block a few times and came back into the garage and I still did not have a code. It is very possible that if I actually took it out on regular roads and drove it around town I could get one, but I am not sure.

...and no, I did not change anything in the TB table. I think I will end up having to though to smooth some things out. It was a tad bit sluggish at low RPM, but that also could be other things. Not sure. After my race this weekend, I will be getting back to it.

Race went ok this past weekend. Rained out Saturday and finished 1st on Sunday with almost beating the tracker record.

Got the TB and intake all back on the car last night. Gonna spend some time putting the finishing touches on it tonight hopefully and try and take a short video.
