Hello,

I have installed the ZEX NOS kit on my 350Z VQ35HR. The zex kit that i installed was made for the VQ35HR.

I have installed everything correctly. I am running into trouble programming the ZEX EMU (purple boX)

I turn the car ignition to ON. activate the switch for zex nitrous to ON.
I hold down the black button on the EMU (red light is lighted up on the EMU) and open up blades on both side for wide open throttle for 10 seconds as it is instructed on the manual.

The red light still stays ON on EMU and doesn't turn green. It is not learning what I am doing.
So I press the button again and hold down the accelerator for 10 seconds, still no green light on EMU.

I open up the blades at same time by the help of 2 people and someone else holds down the accelerator pedal for 10 seconds after pushing the button on EMU, still no green light.

The EMU is good as it is brand new and i can hear the ticking sound in there.

How can I program the EMU?? Please help because I have tried searching and looking at the manual and I still can't get it working.

None of those helped. I have my NOS resister wire tapped into the yellow wire since mine is an 08 Z.

I activate the switch with ignition ON and the ZEX EMU has a red light. The RED light is there without me depressing the button on EMU.

I depress the button on EMU anyways and the light still stays RED. After depressing the button, I open the "butterfly" on both sides by hand and still no go.

I depress the button and put the car in first gear. Then hold down the accelerator for 10 seconds, still no go.

I depress the button and START up the car (engine running) then did a wide open throttle for few seconds RPM hitting 7k and still no go. Doing this left a bad engine smell in the engine bay, but disappeared in a few minutes.

I read all those links. Tried a few things such as turning the car on and mashing on the accelerator as mentioned in those links, still nothing.

I have did everything that I can do and still no go. What can it be? Please help me out getting this ZEX kit going, I would be so thankful.

Sorry I couldn't help. I don't have a zex kit, but I remembered a lot of those zex threads, too bad none of them fixed your problem.
