The 2007 Northwest Racing season
So far... so good... in IA.
As for Novice PM; we're hoping to see a trophy position, possibly 1st place, at this event Wasuber. Any ideas where you'll be moving to after you've completed your Novice events?

Wasuber, you should have it in the bag...after your 3rd novice trophy, you'll have to jump up to a street tire class - muich harder competition! (or you can pick up some R-comps, a few other mods, and we can go for 1st and 2nd in IA!)

I think my car is eligible for the Improved B class, since the engine is less than 3 liters.
R compounds would be nice, but not even close to being in the budget right now, plus wifey would dis-embowel me.

Now if I can only stay on course!!!

A modified (even a stock) GT-R in Improved B would.... dis-embowel
anything that could be tuned per IB rules. 'cept for maybe the STi which is only in IB due to an error in the rules.Nice! I'm hoping for a 2008 lineup in IA of:
First350
Wasuber
Purple Passion
Drivesolo
+ (others)
FYI: if you're not running stock boost, then that puts you in Open Street / Street Mod.

Is this a stroke of racing genius? Or just an insane attempt of someone hell-bent on a National Championship? I was down at TNT Racing the other day dropping off some tires to get mounted when I came up on this:

They had it out in the sun soaking up heat before continuing w/ the next step to seat the bead. The color of the picture is off, but the image IS NOT distorted. What you're seeing here is a 285/30-18 Kumho V710 on a 8" Ray's Engineering wheel! This is probably the only other attempt ever made other than Carter Thompson (?). PDX_Racer... care to do some explaining.
When I came back to pick up my wheels; I was witness to some of the bead seating methods that TNT was using. I was amazed at the painstaking effort (told 'em I wouldn't mention it) that they used, ingenious in it's own right. Prior to seeing it I would have thought it was impossible. Getting a 275/35-18 Hoosier on a 8" wheel is one thing, but this is tougher by a whole level of magnitude since the wall stiffness on these 710's are stiffer and shorther than the Hoosiers.
