Going to be some tough sledding in BSP with the factory VLSD....not that you need to be told. You should ask Tom for a 2s grace period .

Not really sure where I overreacted. Was just joking around that if I had gotten a diff I would have let folks know already.

I'm going to post this up for comments/criticism....Fedex lot is really tough because of the variable surfaces. The lighter colored asphalt has tons of grip, but the darker (sealed) asphalt is basically ice. I couldn't keep the back end settled going through the down hill part of the mid part of the course or the uphill slalom. Temp was 34 degrees, and it had snowed a bit overnight. Not very smooth (or fast), but it would have been non-cart FTD had I not tipped the middle slalom cone. The start was the worst...any slight throttle input sent the car spinning....thus the very lazy start.

Any who, here is the in-car from Sunday:

Brembo competiton calipers, aluminum hats, ducting. All parts used on AMPR grand am cars. Nice rotating weight reduction and calipers that are clamping monsters that are built to handle high speed braking. Looking at lightweight seats and a rear cage design next. I have to make decision on whether to stick in BSP or just go hog wild with street going track car in two weeks. Headed to T Hill 4/16 and 17.

Installed my lightweight battery today. I like easy cheap weight reduction like that!

Sure it would. I'd go for factory brembo's, however. Better pad selection, etc.

The factory Nismo Akebono calipers? Or the new Brembos?

I know the Akebonos will. I have a set on my G35. You'll just need to order a bracket from CZP or another vendor that sells the conversions. Keep in mind the OEM front rotors are heavy as hell though.. 30lbs iirc. I went with a 2-piece from RacingBrake.

Unsure why you'd want them? the rotors are boat anchors. Guess the calipers are decent for a street car. I have nice new stop tech pads on them. And you will learn that I dont sell stuff. I just give it away typically as I would rather help people in the sport than put money in my pocket. Your welcome to see if they fit etc.

Anyone going on the UFO fun run? It's on Sunday April 10th.

I did some recon this week on the way to visit Cal Poly... nice quiet road with great scenery. I saw 4 cars in 1.5 hours. I would have really tore it up if it wasn't 33-37 degrees and I had Star Specs on. doh!
