Hey everyone, got my Z about a year ago and just recently took it to an autocross event test and tune event with trackmasters-racing and had a blast. You guys should sign up for september in Sonoma was the only 350 out there! Was like 3 hours of autocross, totally worth it for $75.
Looking to have my first track day sometime in august once my bank account recovers from buying parts haha. I have talked to people and they recommend thunder hill because there is a lot of run off (just incase), but it is about a 4 hour drive for me. Would laguna seca or sonoma be good? What organization do you recommend for first timers?
By the way, do you guys get track insurance?

Go with CityTech (6/28 T-hill), Speedventures, NCRC (7/12 T-hill), etc. I looked into track insurance, but it has a minimum policy premium that wasn't favorable for me.
If you are in San Jose, T-hill is about 2.5 hours of driving. Laguna Seca and Sonoma Raceway are closer, but they are more technical and the walls are closer. I suggest you run 4 or 5 times at T-hill before going to those tracks.

I'll be there a few days...
Very cool! Yes, a good place to start (not a good place to stay, IMO)!

My CityTech Track Day on June 28 Friday still have a few spots left. Scott will bring his Green Spec Z and I will bring my Orange Time attack Z there too. Hopefully I will be able to see some Zs show up too.

Watch a lot of video of T-hill, be able to play it back in your sleep, IMO. You'll be a step ahead and - with that - you'll add speed more quickly. Make sure you have enough brake pad.
