tyler, you are not so crazy.. hp curve is a lil similar
but it would take like 18 psi for a greddy to achive similar numbers. tq curve is different 2. its pretty amazing that the aebs kit (engine) get the gt37rs(2) to spool like that

I don't get why you'd have the variable cam timing turned on for the 600WHP run, but then you disable it for the 1000 whp run.

Quadcam/Turismo, I could be wrong, but I believe they were still testing some features of the EMS when the did the lower psi pulls.

take a look at the Run File numbers. The 600 whp run is run7. the 1000whp run is run8. It could just be a coincidence that the numbers are consecutive, but it seems odd to go from 600 whp with the cam timing on, and then turn up the wick (and turn off the cam timing) and go for 1000whp. Especially, when you read the OPs comments that attaining the 1000 whp mark wasn't easy and also that Intense asked the owner if he wanted to push it to try and hit the mark. It doesn't sound like they went immediately from 600 to 1000 on consecutive runs. Again, maybe the numbering of the files is just a coincidence. I Dunno?

lol, they did more than just 2 runs ovbiously
also, well cam timing on/off isnt going to affect peak power very much.
Keep in mind the engine headgasket did fail so there could be something that played on that.

Quad.... the 600whp pull and the 1,000whp pull were over a month apart. I don't know if it's pure coincedence, but they weren't done on the same day.

Congrats on breaking 1000whp Chris. I'm confident Intense will set a new world record with your car very soon.

are they going to up the redline eventually or does the stroker make that no so hot of an option? wasn't sure if the AEBS was a true stroker or messed around with other stuff to get the displacement.

most strokers arent suitable to raise the rpm..but you can see there is plenty more power to go with more psi, the curve is just going up flat

Like all stroker kits, it comes with a new crankshaft...
Aebs also comes with cometics gasket custom cut to fit(100mm bore), T-sleeves, rods & pistons

Come on now We run 8500rpm in our stroker Z, and the Supra strokers see 10,000+rpm

I believe Chris already posted that they intend on fixing the HG, and check the block; once that is done... they intend on doing higher psi pulls, and bringing it up to 8k RPM.

This motor would take 8k to the face and not even blink.

Congrats!!!!! In some cases, it is better to go with a stainless wire instead of copper for your o-ring.We have also o-ringed the head in certain applications so that it sits inside of the o-ring on the block which is known as double offset o-ringing. Works well. I know that Cometic does not condone the use of an o-ring with their metal headgaskets but we have gotten it to work. And work well at that.Usually the engine lets go before the gasket blows.

The Swedes have gone beyond the typical o-ring and have done piramid rings which is a machining process where they take a small bore out of the top of the cylinder and use a 3mm stainless ring in there to sit between the head and the cylinder.Pretty crazy. It seems to hold up well to big boost but we have not tried that yet.Just some info I thought I woudl share but I am sure the guys at Intense are pretty familiar with some of this
