ya those build threads that are done before the car is on the streets always seems to drag on.

The good thing about that is people are more likely to post up current issues rather than forgetting about the hassles once the car is all built.

96% is pretty close!

Unfortunately I haven't driven it yet, but have ridden in it for probably a good 200 mile trip and it was very streetable. Note: He started beating on the clutch immediately with little to no break in. Something Carbonetics says you need to put approximately 5k miles on before it will hold the power. We found the limits on the Carbonetics triple carbon at around 800rwhp with (I think) just over 3k miles.

The second Tilton triple is the more expensive carbon. We have one here that we are going to be testing out on a special car. This is the clutch that 100% of Supra owners run. I have not heard of one Supra owner running the previous clutch.

IMHO, as much as I would like to sell the Triple carbon, for 99% of the people here it isn't needed. You can get away with running the ceramatalic with no issues and save $2k.
Glad I got rid of the carbonetics triple before I installed it.

yeah... i actually gave Chris(OP) my tripple carbonetics while he waited from tilton to send his rebuild clutch(original wasnt installed properly by previous shop)...and it was during then that i found out the short-comings of the carbonetics for the powergoals i had. THe tilton clutch i'll use, as hal said, is the one big power supras use..... thats what Saad had in this 1500whp supra.
having said that, i think the clutch SP is currently using deserves quite a bit of praise for holding the powerleves it has and being "cost efficient" compared to alternatives.

SP is using an RPS clutch, I am pretty sure. Last conversation I had with RPS was the 350z clutch will not be their focus at this time. My rep wouldn't even give me an eta on a comparable clutch for the 350z.
