Default Windows auto-roll up (from full open) when door closes

My window motors started to fail. I cleaned them out a few times which helped, but eventually I replaced them with the following:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-Pair-of-Window-Regulators-Motors-fits-Infiniti-Nissan-w-Lifetime-Warranty/401447576266?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&_mwBanner=1&_rdt=1

They appear to work well, except the windows roll up (from being fully open all the way down) when you close the door. To be clear, I am not speaking of the tucking in when you close the door to create a tight seal: When I have both windows fully open and get out of the car, the windows roll up when I close the door, only for the door I am closing.

Any ideas why and any ideas on fixes?

I searched the forums and could not quite find this specific situation. Feel free to point me in the right direction.

JCat,

Thanks. That's mostly about cleaning up the motors -- when they will not work or get stuck -- which I did before I replaced them. My issue is the replacements auto-roll up from a full open.

But, are you saying I should I post my issue in there??

travlee,

Re-index, is that the same as a reset?

I think re-index and reset are the same thing. Basically you are just teaching the window motor when to stop, so when the key is out of the ignition and you close the door it does that 'seal' thing and closes the window completely.

There is a how-to around here somewhere and its really easy. Just google it. I you continue to have a problem after the re-index make sure you got the correct window motors. I know there are some cars that will auto roll the windows up when you shut the door with the key out - Unlikely but possible I guess.
