this mean you should go to the court. The ticket is YOUR responsiblity. Even if the automated court says theres no ticket and there really is, its still your fault if anything were to happen. i had to learn the hard why. Just be safe and go to the court house and get something in writing to cover urself.

Yes Danny DO NOT let that go by and find out you have a bench warrant. I would hate to see you deported to mexico or something . I would go to the court and find out in person otherwise you might be in for a suprise when and if you get stopped again.

You might just have lucked out. This happened to me also in Glendale when a cop popped me saying I was racing the Accord in the next lane when actually it was just some 50yr old Armenian dude speeding past me while we entered the intersection. He gave me a misdermeanor reckless driving ticket based only on the fact my car was "modified" and I fit a "profile" even though I was traveling below the speed limit (since there was light rain) while the other driver was clocked doing 55 in a 35 zone...Butthole.

Long story short, backup arrived (On average Glendale PD usually dispatches 3 cruisers and a bird for a routine traffic stop ) The other officer was luckily a cool guy and sympathized with me even when his collegue was gung-ho about busting me for "street racing". I was still issued the ticket, detained and released, and my car impounded. When the date of the arraignment came I went to crimminal court and was suprised to find out that my ticket was never filed. My case automatically got thrown out, the clerk stamped my copy of the ticket with the City seal and date indicating I appeared in court the day of, and I walked on out of there with a smile. But I still got shafted with the $350 in impound fees for the 3 days my car was locked up.

If you didn't receive a notice in the mail about your ticket, stating bail amount, summary of the infractions, etc. Then most likely the cop never turned it in.

GL dude.

same here, your best bet is to do a trial by written decleration. its one of the best ways to get off the hook. you just write a statement of facts and attach it to the paper they give you. the cop has the same amount of time to do the same, but hopefully he/she will forget to write a statement, be on vacation around the time its due, or be too busy to write the statement. if thats the case you win and get your money back no points. now if they write a statement and you lose, you have a second chance to fight by going to court in person, but when that happens the best you can hope for is the cop not showing up to court. the only thing about a trial by written decleration is that you have to put the bail money up front. but trust me, its worth the try, i got off 2 tickets out of 2 using this. so im at a 100% success rate. but i better not push my luck. good luck.

They should have dismissed it if you came on the date on the ticket and the cop didn't show.
