I am thinking about running in the track day at Horsethief Mile on July 14, 2007.

I have been to two other events held by SRT. Tons of track time is an understatement. Very relaxed group. Its mostly EVO drivers who usually show up.
I'm hoping some Z owners will join me in showing those EVO owners a thing or two
Anyone interested?

over heat last year on streets around this time but i just did HTM this past weekend with a new radiator and no signs of trouble at all.
i probably won't be out there again until fall. then again, i might get the urge and show up. i've done 3 events with speedventures now and they are a pretty relaxed group too.

it was above 3/4s at temps you would be concerned with. i also touched the red zone. most people don't have this problem. i also have an oil cooler directly in front of the radiator blowing super hot air and a license plate covering vital air flow.
overheating wasn't that bad, because cruising on a straightaway brought temps back down quickly. car is stock cept for popcharger, oil pan spacer and oil cooler at the time. maybe drop in a bottle of redline water wetter before you go. i also started seeing high temps on htm in march. maybe something is wrong with my engine but after i got the koyo 3 row, temps are very good and drop really fast. as long as you keep an eye on it it should be fine. there was a completely stock 07 last weekend and he had no problems.

It is going to be HOTTER than HELL out there then. My only issue with track days in the summer is hor frickin hot it gets, if you drive the car hard out there I think almost anyone is going to overheat! Just my .02!
