I agree on all of the above. I also feel that they really overprice their products. I understand that they are quality products but it still seems like you are paying for the name and people use apple products as a status symbol. Kinda like shopping at abercrombie lol you can easily find clothes of the same quality for half the price. God I hate abercrombie lol

Have you owned a mac ?

I have had pc's for years and bought my mac 3 years ago. couldn't be happier.

My sons macbook is now 5 years old, new battery thats it, still running smooth. My sony viao's never lasted that long.

+1 on the underlined: What's worse than Apple themselves is the Apple nuthuggers and hipsters who get Apple products just because it's Apple (no real reasoning/justification behind it or worse yet, false justifications/reasoning). These people make me hate Apple even more.

 

Personally I have not. Michelle has a couple of macs and I have some experience with them. I didn't say they are not quality products but you can't argue about their pricing and I absolutely cannot stand some of the people that try to argue that their Mac is superior because it can do all this artsy stuff as far as video/photo editing and for music purposes but then they go and use the damn thing for Facebook for the entirety of their ownership. Macs do have their strong points and they most definately are better than pc for certain purposes but those are limited purposes and most of the people that have macs really don't need them. As far as reliability is concerned, I've had my HP dv7000 now for a little over three years and I've also replace the battery and then also replaced the charging cord but as far as the hardware is concerned it has been fantastic and I see no need to replace it anytime soon.

Macs have their own little issues just like everything else does and I really wouldn't say they are Mac specific as all computers seem to have their own random issues and many times it's not necessarily manufacturer specific. Michelles Mac desktop runs slower than dirt thanks to viruses that most of the Mac bandwagoners try to tell you they are invulnerable to and her MacBook pro has this quirky thing that whenever she plugs her iPhone into it, after a few minutes, an error pops up and says that her phone is drawing too much power and it stops charging.

 

I like my macbook pro because it works well and has always worked well, the same goes for every other apple computer I've owned. I like the iphone for its simpllicity and its appearance it just works. I don't like that its so far behind androids, but I don't like the android interface, so what did I do? I switched back to blackberry.


I swear to god there is not a single 4 door black g37s with black interior and a manual transmission anywhere to be found, if I'm stuck buying a new one and taking someone elses hit ill cry. In other news m3s are too expensive and the isf has an ugly front end. Ill be joining the nissan community again it appears. Unless something happens and I loose all of my money again and then well I'm just going to kill myself.

I had a PC for a few years, seemed to have problems a lot. iMac for a couple years, no real issues. Been on this MacBook now for almost 4 years. I have the original battery and a replacement battery to switch if needed. Original has over 1000 cycles, and is still around 90%. The one I have in now has 717 cycles at 81%. I was against switching over, my dad actually suggested it, and I was against it at first.

Only issue I've had is that the HDD keeps crashing, but I think it's from me knocking it around a few times. Definitely need to get a new MBP soon though. I wanted the last one, but it wasn't enough of an upgrade for me.

 

Problems normally occur from the user itself rather than the computer IMO..unless you're talking about a hardware issue. Most people I know that use pc never ever do their windows update...which is absolutely crucial. As far as laptops I like using a desktop over a laptop for some odd reason.

AT&T replaces SIMs for free. You should pop into a T-Mobile store and ask for one. If they try to charge you $20 tell them that's one more reason for you to switch.

 

Funny about all the Mac talk....funny to see how every PC based computer has copied everything Mac has done from their windows to their OS systems.

Yet all of you non-Mac people say that mac's suck and that's fine...but Mac's were really designed for graphics, photography, and other platforms with creative ability to put on paper. So all you number cruncher's just stay on your Dell and keep them spread sheets.

I'll take a Mac any day over a PC !

 

I dont really care as long as I can get on my350z, titantalk, all my other forums...and get my email..

I will get me an IPAD though - those things are syck..

Yeah, as soon as they told me they'd charge me (went to 2 diff stores, too), I just walked out. There's a good chance I'm moving to VZ as of right now.
