Sorry, I should've phrased that better. You perform the "idle air volume reset" when you mess with the throttle body (ex. cleaning, replacing, etc). I mentioned plenum because every time I opened mine, I cleaned the TB and the plenum. I never took the TB off the plenum, though, since the upper comes off so easily.

The TB is set to be open X amount at idle and when you mess with it, you change that setting, which is why you'd perform this procedure. I keep saying "mess with it" because I've cleaned my TB multiple times by carefully pushing open the butterfly. This last time, though, I just fisted that sucker while cleaning it and I had to perform this procedure.

I'd say give it a try if you haven't already. It'll either do nothing or fix the problem.

Cool, I'm free until the 3rd as well. Sucks you're sick during your break, though. Let me know when/where and I can come get it.

What's everybody doing for the New Year ?

I'm too old to go out anymore so I just head over to my neighbors up the street.

Anybody want to post up their New Years Resolution ?

Mine is to get in better shape, do more physical stuff like skateboarding or even taking my dog for a walk everyday after work. I need to lose some weight and also cut down on my drinking of beer.

Every computer can benefit from a "Ctrl + ALT + Del" or for you mac folks "Shift," "Ctrl" and "Option" keys and the power button simultaneously.

well i tried and i could never get the check engine light to start flashing. so now that i know the cats werent bad, replaced with art pipes,, i still have a rattle.... driving me crazy. i just emailed invidia to see if there is something in the resonated part of Y pipe that can break loose

i like the extra pep that the art pipes give, but liked the sound of cats better. i can deal with the sound tradeoff though.

You should hear mine so you can see what ART and shockwave V2 sound like. Actually, probably not based on how much it costs.

Mike, Congrats on the job !

Sounds like your off to a good New Year already.

Get that Subbie-Doo fixed and start on the Z like you said. We have a lot of racing to do this next year. I want to see you out at the AutoX or some Time Trials this year. You will tear them up.

BTW, what are the $400 dollar Roll Centers ?

I love the Shockwave exhaust but $1500+ for an exhaust is a lot of money. That's not including the art pipes either.

yeah but from what i hear well worth it... i already have the ART pipes, should be about to sell my current exhasut 550-600, and then my kinetix cats for around 250ish i am about halfway there. i might put em up on the marketplace to see if any bitters, i could always throw my stock exhaust on for a month...... temptations...

Hey guys, please keep my family in your prayers this new years especially for my sister and three nieces. My brother in law lost his battle with his failing health condition this morning and passed away around 4 am. Thanks guys.
