i have a utec, im willing to pay any of you to help me out with it. IM located in st louis and Kansas city... PM me if any of you are interested. Local shop wants 250 bucks, im sure one of you needs the cash more than they do. ALSO, do you have to have a afr gauge to tune it or does it read those numbers for you?

i know there are a few shops in TX that could tune your utec if you dont want to mess with it. if you buy the tuner wideband and know a local dyno, we could probably tune your car pretty easily....

I was just reading this thread as I recently got the tuner and starting logging, adjusting timing, fuel etc... but I got a question for you guys, are you running open loop fueling with the MAF option?

According to the manual...
When Open Loop Fuelling is enabled, the UTEC uses its own background fuel table to determine injector ontime instead of the factory ECU’s fuel table once the car is past the Open Loop Threshold parameter setting.
seems like the lowest value for the injector size is 300cc but don't we run 290cc? I get strange readings on the injector duty cycle, like hitting 99.9% at arounf 6100-6200 rpms! It doesn't look like the utec's fuel table would work. Tuning in closed loop mode it runs fine.

To do this you would need to add a MAP sensor, leave the injector scaling in the parameters set to 380/380 and use the 0% load column to scale the inectors, then 10%-100% load would be in actual IPW in milliseconds..

OK, thanks but would the Load Indicator still be the MAF or MAP? The manual just doesn't seem too clear regarding this.
