Can we at least add the newer OEM widebands into our downpipes and somehow get a signal from it? I would be willing to add even the OEM ones onto the car if i could get it to wire into the ecu somehow.
To integrate the wideband with the stock ECU, you'd need to upgrade your stock ECU, add the wiring, add the sensors. Can it be done? Yes. Is it worth it? Hey man, it's not my money.

We're working on integrating third party Wideband data loggers with Cipher. When that will be available is unknown, but after talking to all the companies at SEMA, they are all on board with the idea and almost all of them have sent Development kits. So it's really just a matter of time.

nice!

I was finishing up some wiring on sensors tonight and this same idea hit me because I was thinking of how much of a pain it is going to be to compare 2 sets of data for my tuning.

Since cipher can't log the wideband, could the program at least merge with my other data logging program. I use the logworks so it would be finding a way to convert logworks data to cipher data or vice versa. That would be very nice. Have cipher and logworks both open but the cipher data pushed into the logworks and recorded as one file.

Thanks for the update. I'll keep my eye out for news on this.

Uprev, why don't you update your website with the upgrade option (Cipher > Standard > Tuner)??

i would like to have my standard version upgraded to tuner, but don't know where to start..

Thanks

Hello Uprev, I was wondering if your turn around time for the e-tunes was still 2 weeks? It seems like they're taking longer than 2 weeks for many people.

Can you please confirm this.

Also what's the main difference between an e-tune from you directly vs one of your pro-tuners? Does your pro-tuners use the same data from past vehicles that you guys use or do they have their own developed?

Thanks (Tried emailing you guys but got no response)

Cipher only question/suggestion.

Looked many times at the long list of parameters you can data log. I see oil 'temp', but can't find oil 'pressure' or am I blind as a bat. G35's don't have oil pressure gauge like the 350Z's, only an idiot light. Wish to data log oil pressure with my other parameters selected.

Thanks.

With the map switching through the Cruise control there is a way to set it up for luanch control as well as the ability to pull timing and add fuel for antilag...

Uprev can only datalog the parameters that pass through each models ecu, so on your G35 it isnt set up to measure oil pressure through the ECU you wont be able to monitor it, like ya can with the 350z's...

Appreciate your response.

So you're saying Cipher shows oil pressure as a selectable parameter with your Z's ECU after you connect? Thanks.

yes.

us g35's have an oil pressure switch, they have a "sensor". I used a stock 350z sensor in place of my oem one but you can't log through the ecu. I only used it to log from my separate logworks datalogger.

Thanks for that explanation. Now makes complete sense to me why ECU doesn't see that on G35's. Pressure switch for idiot light = on/off only. ECU not programmed for variable output from that source like Z's are with a sensor.

Oh well, thought I was on to something as a feasible suggestion.

Has there been a update for the cipher cable to work on the HR ECU's yet?... Your Web site still states that it does not work on the HR motor yet.

Yes, it works with the HR. GTM uses it on all the turn key TT kits.

Another vote for the external map veiwing device!
And of course control over the auto trans paramaters.
TCS to stay off when pressed, not having to press it every time the car is restarted.
I know someone also offers this as a memory module, maybe he can create the map viewing device instaed of having to watch and count the blinks for cruise.
