So the 07 g35 s sedans get the true dual exhaust setup but the Z's and G coupes gotta wait another year? Way to go to nissan Why not give the better performing parts to the flagship performing vehicles first?

Yes, I would imagine so, although there may be fitment issues. I dunno. I was by no means trying to bash the sedans. I actually had the pleasure of having a new 07 g35x as a loaner and was very impressed w/ the smoothness of the engine, and the nice amount of torque available at a low rpm--

Don't they rate the G35 sedan at the same HP/TQ as the 07Z? Guess it shows that the stock Z exhaust performs just as well as the stock true dual.

Yes, this is true--and an indication that the stock z exhausts flows decently as it it achieving those numbers. I imagine the true dual setup will come into play w/ the 3.7 engine (330 hp) for 08

That sux. I wonder if it makes a difference if I have a g35 coupe? Can you verify that the 07hr z is not a true dual exhaust, correct? The Y-pipe is a 2 to one pipe (2.4/2.5 inches diameter), albeit slightly longer?

You have to replace the asterisk with 350z - tech <---Remove the space before and after the hyphen, otherwise it looks like this---> *********.com

They censor and block you from linking to tech from here even though it's on topic......

Guys the G sedan is not a true dual it goes from the cats back as a true dual then somewhere in them middle of the car in becomes one 2.25" pipe about 2' long then splits into a dual again, with separete mufflers. Please dont argue as i could take pics of my cousings G right now...unless what i just described above is considered a true dual. My view of a true dual would be two completely separate individual pipes from header to muffler.

And for the record, the VQ40DE is way different from the 3rd Gen VQ35DE used in the Maxima and VQ35 Pathfinder. I think the Altima SE-R uses the VQ40 head, and is part of the reason they would make more power than the 4th Gen VQ found in the regular Altimas. I think some more research should be done.

In your break down did you notice any upgrades or fixes for the clutch and master cylinder on the 07. I have read like 5 different peoples issues with the clutch. And some of them have had to get them replaced already. Some are saying a bad batch of fluid others are saying design issues. I just was wondering what is your take on the situation and if you had any insight on major problems and/or upgrades and fixes to the situation.

Cheers

Kevin
