Default Possible new 2007 issue? idk seems odd

Ok i was at a red light today and i noticed that when i revved my engine with clutch in the tach needle will pause at around 1500rpm.its weird. i rev it and on the way down it just pauses at around 1500rpm. is this bad? i dont rev it very high maybe 3000rpm. anyone else have this happen to them. car was already warmed up. Currently at 5006miles, had oil change at 3000 with oem nissan oil.

If you just push the clutch in the rpms rev up to 1500. I never seen that before in any car I've driven but it does that in this one. I noticed it when I pushed it in the other day and I heard my exhaust get louder.... It's normal as far as I know.

My guess is because this is the set idle for the computer. After all our cars are drive by wire. Try this. Keep it in first gear and left the car engine brake. At around 1500, you will notice the throttle will automatically kick in and keep your car moving. Normally, the car would just die, but the computer seems to kick in.

Theres another thread on this. I responded to and I had the exact same problems as you described. My needle would get stuck at 1500 rpm and not move I drove it normally shifted thru all gears I even tried to stomp it nothing. It was when I came to a complete stop and rev'd it a little it came back to normal like it broke lose from being stuck. It has happned to me about 3-4 times already. No clue as to why this is happening.

had my tach needle stick once while accelerating. paused around 1500, although revs continued to climb. probably stuck for about a second, then the needle snapped to the correct rpm. no problems since that one time.

Totally normal on all Z's. Was present on my 03, and is present on my 07. There are threads about it, if I can find one I'll post it.

Mine started doing it too. i would have to do all of those things listed for it to come back down during stops with the clutch in. Now its starting to grind in 5th and 6th gear and no matter what rpm i drop it there is always a little ergg. with that feeling in the shifter....
