Well, good news. Even though I wanted to go into the dealership at the time and start raising hell, I kept my calm and things worked out fine.

I went in and even before going to the service department I just asked to speak with the general manager. He was actually really nice and listened patiently as I voiced my concerns. I told him how I was quite confused why I was having to pay the $90 and he said to me that he was quite confused also and that it didn't make much sense to him.

He excuses himself and says he'll be right back, and will find out the situation. I **** you not, like 45 seconds later he comes back and says, "Sir I'm sorry for the confusion, your car is outside ready to pick up and there will be no fee's associated with the service." Blew me away !!!

This post is getting long so tomorrow I'll post my before and after impressions with the slave cylinder fix. I drove the Z about 35 miles tonight just to see if it was going to explode on me and I must say, the fix makes this car ****ing ROCK . A whole new car altogether. I'll post details tommorrow.

question....if i were to remove the clutch dampener (read about it on another thread in this forum) would it cause the slave cylinder to work harder due to increased pressure?? if i did this mod, plus the extra pressure from my jim wolf pressure plate/clutch cause enough pressure to keep blowing up slave cylinders?? has anyone grenaded the replacement part yet??

i forget if this was noticeable before the recall or not. seems to me it might be something with the throw out bearing.... any thoughts?
i really want to know this too. i have the same exact problem

Ive never really noticed this to an extent that you are stating.
You might get a little vibration from the sound/movement of the motor. But it should not be like shaking the pedal.

I dunno. I drove mine yesterday and didnt notice any vibration other then the normal vibrations in the shifter when at idle.
Now sure how the pressure plate would cause this? The lever is not even likely touching the bearing when not pushed in?

i dont think the pressure plate would cause the clutch to shake that much orrr would it. it would make a noise when ur not pressing down on the clutch, or thats how it was for my civic. its like a rattle noise outside the car, but who knows. the pressure plate would rattle and not under specific throttle responses

I finally got mine back. Wow! what a difference on shifting, it really does feel like a new car after the recall fix. Note that I never experienced the clutch pedal sticking and I also didn't use motul for my clutch fluid.

1. The clutch is a little lighter
2. My shifter is less stiff and requires less force to shift
3. SMOOTHER SHIFTS << I can't stress this enough
4. I don't know why but maybe it's my imagination, my car sounds deeper/meaner.

Bottom line: It was really worth it!

I am still waiting on parts. I called about this over a month ago. They had the part at the time, but already did the fix on another vehicle on their lot.. Ok, fine, so hurry up and order the part. Then about a week ago I give a to my local dealership asking about the part to find it wasn't even order. WTF? So finally we get it straightened out, and the finally order. I just called today, to find that Nissan now has this part back ordered and they have no ETA.. Just a bit frustrating.

Had my recall done 2 weeks ago..They had the parts in stock so I jumped on it right away !! The clutch engagement feels a little better and slightly stiffer. I never had the sticking issue, but did the recall anyway...

I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything and the service adviser said there was no ETA on getting the part. Might take even longer if its on back order. My clutch has stuck 2 times but that was only under a heavy load so I will just have to take it easy until its fixed.
