The clutch takes hard launches better, still a crappy overall design. But for just changing the slave they did a good job.

The best I've read (maybe I'm out of date on this) is that the aftermarket flywheels will mate with the old clutches. I'd assume its either a bolt pattern issue for the pressure plate, or that the 07 clutches are a different diameter. Either way if the new flywheels will work with the OEM HR and DE upgrade clutches then I'll happily throw the LTW flywheel in and deal with the rattle trap.

ok, so when I first drove my car home after the recall, it felt great. The next time I drove it (three days later) when I pressed in the clutch to start it, the clutch only came back out about half way. I pressed it in a few times and let it out and each time it only came out about half way. So I stuck my foot behind the pedal and pulled it out the rest of the way. After that I didnt have another problem with it, but I was wondering if this happened to anyone else?

OMG thats rediculous! I would take what you make per hour at your job, multiply by 3(hours wasted driving there/back), and demand they give you "X" amount of oil changes on them for your time....thats a MAJOR f___-up on their part......I dont know if I could keep my composure if I was in your shoes.....sucks bro.....

I'll be getting my car done tomorrow (Concordville Nissan in PA). The parts are supposedly in already and I should be getting a rental. I'll let you guys know how I make out.

The recall held up well at the track today. I had 41 passes launching on DRs with a few runs doing no lift shifts and not once did the pedal drop or get soft. This seems promising considering I havent even put the motul in yet.

I called up the dealership about a month ago and scheduled the recall but I called back the next day to make sure they had the part because I have been down this road before. They didn't have the part and said it was a case by case deal and they don't stock them and they don't order them until you give them your recall number but most of the people that schedule that stuff have no idea so they schedule the recall without even having the part. I canceled my appointment but they still called to try to give me a stupid survey for a service that wasn't even done. Its now month later and still no part and I called the dealership last week to get an ETA and they guy said he would call me back and never did. Glad my car is ok right now or I would be up the creek without a paddle.

yeah, I got an excuse from the service dept that the appointment was made by a receptionist in another state who has no idea if parts are in stock or not......weak....

I made my appointment last week with Bruce bennett Nissan in Wilton Ct. last week. No problem with getting a loaner. Very nice dealership. I was to bring it in tomorrow but thankfully they called me today to say the part wasn't in.
I would have been really torqued off if I got all the way up there and they didn't have it. Hard to believe that happened to some folks here. So far I've had no problems, so hopefully everything wil hold up until the part is available.

Got my recall done today at Concordville Nissan and the whole process went very smoothly. Parts in stock, done in one day, and got a brand new Murano rental. A good friend of mine was my mechanic and it was the first recall they performed there.

First impressions with 10 miles of driving:
Pedal seems softer and easier to manipulate (but not used to it yet). Shifting felt smoother on most shifts. I didn't beat on it yet...

Just got back home from having the slave cylinder replaced and i have almost the same exact impression. When i first got it the clutch was almost too soft, but after driving it a couple of miles it's almost stiffened up to where it was before.

Overall I'd rate this procedure a 10 out of 10. Makes the car much smoother and my 1-2 shifts don't need to be perfect like before. Go NISSAN

I'm curious why your shifting is smoother? Are you talking about clutch engagement or the shifter going into the gear itself?

The clutch engagements are smoother now than before the new slave cylinder was installed. I dont know if it's just because the part is new OR thats the way the new part is supposed to behave. Time will tell...

I am still waiting for the recall part to get in. I have let the local dealership know about it mid Jaunary. They didn't get the part ordered, so I spoke to them Febuary 12, this time they ordered the part and it's supposedly backordered from Nissan.... Well, it's been a month, and still nothing. I am really starting to get pissed with this dealership. They have great service in other aspects, but dealing with parts recalls have been extremely low quality service. I am about tempted to call one of the Denver dealerships to a see if they have the part, and then schedule an appointment. This is getting quite ridiculously.
