I hear the exact same thing with my headers but its not an exhaust leak so don't worry about that. Most noticable when you start the car up and its at idle. Sounds badass imo

Is it just me or do those look kinda poorly designed? Almost worse than the stock manifold.
There is more of an angle in pipes "1" and "2" than in the stock ones. And why would they not just make them as straight as possible and have then go into the holes as I show for each pipe? Do they have to be the same length for efficiency? Or does the air have to pass through the pipes into the the exhaust pipe at the same time? (I really doubt it) I know that twists and turns in fluids cuts efficiency.
(Here's my proposed design)
If I am wrong or missing something let me know.

KS0385 - you are right to a point, but remember, we have somewhat limited space to contend with as well. So often times, one has to engineer less than ideal bends in order to clear prexisting conditions.

....and it tells you absolutely nothing. Equal length has it's benefits and its detractions. That is why there is also a thing called unequal length There are alot of considerations to make when designing headers and manufacturing headers - it's quite involved actually and relative to many other aspects of the engine.

im assuming them to be larger by a few mms (2-5 mm) . . like a gradual increase . . . or is it like the inlet port itself is larger than the stock ?
