It isn't normal at that high of an rpm.......I wouldn't think. My twin tilton on my honda way back when never had that issue. On my OS single it shutters if you try to accelerate below 1500-1600 rpm's, but I have been told that it is easily cured with ditching the UR pulley.

Just installed the OS GIKEN QUAD today and I will do a review about that in a couple of days, as soon as I get used to it.
p.s. how do I get out the air in the system? I did the bleeding thing as the manual said for more than two hours and the pedal still stuck to the floor!!!

The hose that fills the CSC goes in at the top, there is only one connection, so when you push the pedal, it inflates the CSC, air and fluid together. The air will float on top (near the tube), and when you open the bleeder valve, the pressure plate collapses the CSC forcing the air out. It takes a few cycles and the system is air free.
I started with a hose on my bleeder, and ended by letting it spray and make a mess, that I cleaned up with brake parts cleaner.

Takes two people. Close the bleeder valve, have someone push on the clutch pedal, open bleeder valve, let pressure release, close bleeder valve, release clutch pedal. Give a couple seconds pause for any air in the lines to settle, then repeat a dozen times or so.

the shudder my car experienced was only with the lightweight crank pulley, and only when engaging first gear from a dead stop - if I did not perfectly time the clutch pedal release, the car would shake a bit. Sometimes it didn't do it, sometimes it did - it was all dependant on how exact I got the clutch release. Didn't do it all the time, and only happened when initially engaging first gear from a dead stop. When I swapped to the ATI pulley, that sensation went away completely, and the clutch became far less "grabby" as well

OS only offers 1 type of flywheel with their clutches (chromoly) - the flywheels are not sold separately and would not work without the clutch, they are part of the clutch assembly

if you drive slow it doesn't happen...
so now you know that if a Z06 survives an HPDE where there are some long left hand sweepers... the driver isn't any good besides flooring it in the straight
looks like the '09 with the improved oil system (like the ZR1) shouldn't have any issue.

i think katech makes some add on's / replacement parts for the ls7 dry sump system that gets rid of that problem. you can try calling them to find out...
my vote goes to the z06, i'd get one over the z if i could afford it...

BUT. the katech system is race proven and you have to upgrade to coilovers doing that for clearance... so you'll end up with a better car.
I don't have the extra 20/25 grand right now
