Do you think it will look fine with that width as opposed to going up to 18x9.5 all the way around?
I would not waste my money on aftermarket wheels in stock sizing .

Default Wheel help

Hey guys, I've been searching and searching and I don't quite understand (although I'm trying and reading everythibg I can) on how to plan wheel and tire size.

Basically, I have a 2003 enthusiast.
I want to put on wheels that are 18x10 +22 http://www.godspeedwheels.com/proddetail.asp?prod=OMEGA18X10BLACKCHROME22MM&cat=41 on my Z.
Will these work and what size tires would I look for?

My Z is stock height at the moment. I don't want to roll fenders. (Lowering it with the eibach prokit lowering springs is a possibility in the future but If it can't be lowered with those wheels I'll just deal with it, idc bout lowering that much)

I know this is a noob question and I appreciate the input.
Love, a confused fellow Z owner :P

Really doubt those wheels will fit your Z, but even if there is caliper clearance, there's no way you'll stuff that wide a wheel under the car and have adquate front fender clearance.

That's what I was afraid of, I was confused especially where that website says they fit a Z, what width would be ideal for 18 inch wheels. I think I've been seeing a lot of 9/9.5.. And should it be diff front to rear?

Default Need Help with tire sizes

I just bought a set of vordoven forme 9 wheels from a guy here local. They are 18×9.5 +12 offset. I'm needing some help or advise about which size tires to run. My car is at stock ride height and I do not plan on lowering anytime soon.

i would say get 4 tires with 245/40 or 245/35, so you can switch front and rears from time to time to have them really good worn out. but that's just IMO

Default Do I need to roll guards?

Thinking of lowering my car, would I need to roll the guards?

Wheel Specs/Tyres

I'd say probably not. Fronts are smallish definitely no problem there.

Rear isn't very wide either, so even with the somewhat low offset I think with a 255 tire there will be plenty of room.

What if the tires I got for free (fronts) are 255/45 R18 (wheels are 18x9.5 35mm offset) + 25mm spacers...

Mine first rubbed due to bad shocks, I replaced em and no rubbing, unless I hit a dip at a weird angle.

Default A lot of controversy here

There's a lot expert advice and not-so-expert persons posting here too... I won't mention any names... you know who you are

I'm no expert but I'm 56 years old and I've been around the globe a few times. Here's what I think: You don't have to spend a zillion dollars on wheels and tires to get quality for your daily driver/occasional rip car.

I personally DO NOT like the Enk (abb with purpose) wheel this board seems to favor. In fact I hate them. I searched for something "different".

On my BMW 3-series coupe I installed a no-name "cheap" set of staggered wheels and low buck tires. For about a grand I had a great looking set of sneakers that got a lot of compliments. I regularly drive the car 125+ mph for short periods of time.

Here is what I settled on for my Z-

245's front on 18x8 wheels (measured 9" when installed)
275's rear on 18X9 wheels (measured 10" when installed)
F&R have +40 offset with 20mm spacers.

Sumi II's

Under $1100 installed TOTAL

Smooth and straight at 145 mph indicated

The beautiful redhead that drives the car everyday loves them and that matters most

Been doin a lot of searching and found cosmis wheels. Does anybody know if the xt-005 wheels will fit nicely at:
Front: 18x9 +25
Rear: 18x10 +20

basically will they fit as it sits(no spacer, no rubbing etc) and what size tires would you recommend? Stock height at the moment
I think they fit but before I drop the money I'd like some others input thanks guys

Default First set of aftermarkets - did my research - have questions

I have a base '05 Z with 17s.

the wheels I like are the Lorenzo WL32 18s. They offer them in a 18x8 and 18x9.5

http://www.treaddepot.com/wheelsizes/wl32b.html

The goal is to get as close to flush as possible and still have good handling.

Options I have researched are to do 18x9.5 all the way around with 245s up front, 265s rear.

Other option I have heard is 18x8 front with 245s and 18x9.5 rear with 275s.

Any suggestions? Both are available in either 32 or 40 offset.

Thanks!

Size and offset are horrible. You need to be at least 25 offset and 9.5-11 size.

Not only that 29-36 lbs in 18s! Those are made out of iron.
