finding correct offset for fitment
i am in the process or ordering some ccw's in 18x10.5/18x11.5 i was going to go with a 3.5 step lip up front and a 5 inch step lip in back. and Ive been trying to find an answer to what offset i should get for best fitment? and if anyone has suggestions for tire sizes that be sweet
suspension: bilstein pss10 with rear swift springs. spc camber arms/toe bolts. currently running 18x10.5 enkei +15 all around on 275/40 265/35
The front only goes -1.5 camber and the rear goes up to -4.

What do you consider BEST FITMENT? What are you goals? What are you going to use the car for? Are you planning on having a track car or a track-inspired car? Is the car a daily?
Fitment has two extremes: too sunken and too poked. However, there is a MULTITUDE of usable setups within that. Get ready for many different answers to the same question.

You're gonna want something like 18×10.5 +10mm up front and 18×11.5 +10mm in the back if you want to stay with those widths and match that car (closely anywho). The tire in the rear is probably a 265 and the front is probably a 245.

Just make sure you can spare 8mm of inner clearance in the rear as well as the added 18mm of outer clearance. The fronts actually add 5mm of inner clearance and push the wheel out 5mm as well.

Ive been using the et calculator to compare my old set up and see what the closest match would be. i may end up doing 3.5-4 inch lips all around and just have wider rims in the back to fill the fender more. hopefully when i finally pull the trigger on these ccw's the sales rep will be able to specify the exact specs.

stretch tires doesn't really ruin practicality unless like voltexz said they are ran way to low of a profile/excessive camber, then yes i agree. But its not like lowering a car is that practical either... especially when you can't clear driveways, speed bumps, or even go the speed limit because the roads are too shitty haha

Will this tire set up mess with my tcs?
I'm trying to run a 18x8.5 wheel in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear, do you guys think that going with 235/40/18 size tire in the front and 255/40/18 in the rear would mess up my tcs?

The difference in stagger between front and rear is the same as stock. So TCS will not even know a difference

You are probably right on the cusp of issues with VDC since your front tires are slightly taller than your rear tires. Your front 225/45-18’s have a diameter of 25.97” and your rear 275/35-18 tires have a diameter of 25.58’’.
The stock setup would be something like 245/40-18 f and 275/40-18 r. The fronts should be approximately and inch shorter in diameter than the rears. Your fronts and rears right now are essentially equal.
If you plan keeping the rear tires, you could put 245/35-18 on the front. That tire has a diameter of 24.75”.

^^ I would select a front tire with a diameter about an inch or slightly less in the front than the rear. That difference is very safe with a VDC-equipped car.
What you want to avoid is a front tire with a greater diameter than the rear tire. Your rear tires (now on the car) are shorter than stock, so you should select a front tire that is shorter than stock (and about an inch shorter than your short rear tire).
This reply may not come through correctly. Something happened when a Mod moved/combined your original thread.

Recently got a set of rays v1 to replace my touring v1.
Was wondering how much wider of a tire I could run with the 8front and 8.5rear. The touring and track are only that half inch difference in the reaR.
Im currently running 245/45 square and it will be used as a dd and occasional track sessions.
Thanks
