I want to get as much rubber on the road as I can, keep the ride comfortable, and get as flush as I can without rubbing. Would consider fender roll, if I have to. From what I've read, looks like my best option is 9.5 +25 on front, and 10.5 +20 in rear. Tires probably 255/40 in front and either 275/40 or 275/35 in rear. Sound about right?
Thanks.
That's a good setup, if they have a slightly more aggressive front I may look into that.

Thanks. Any thoughts on those two rear tire sizes? I'd prefer the 40's, but the 35's were recommended by wheel distributor.

275/40-18 rear is what you want. If they recommended 275/35-18 rear , they really don't know this car well.

My Bathurst wheels came in this week. 18x9 30mm and 18x10.5 27mm. Now in a couple of months I'll order some new tires 255/40 and 275 or 285/40, then I'm done spending money on my car... probably.

^^ Your new wheels look great!! I really like the spokes and the bright silver color.

I think those wheel sizes and offsets will work well, along with the tire sizes you specify.

Question: Is your car lowered?

Thanks. I really like the mirror face with a satin wheel and how concave the 10.5s are. My car is not lowered nor do I plan on lowering it. According to tire calculators the new tires would be essentially the same diameter as stock so there shouldn't be silly amounts of fender gap.

If you are not lowered, you will have noticeable fender gap with your new wheels and tires, and your stock suspension. Some owners consider this OK, but a segment of our community hates this look.

To get a better look and improve your car’s handling, check new springs (that lower the car between 0.5” and 1.0”) along with better shocks.

I don't quite understand how I'd have more fender gap than my stock set up. Both are 18s. My stock wheels and tires have a diameter of 659.7mm (225/45), 677.7mm (245/45). The new overall diameter would be 661.2mm (255/40), 677.2mm (275/40).
Am I missing something?

You are right, I missed that. Thanks. The Width Offset Calculator says that using +15 on front would extend the outer position 34mm, vs 24 mm with the +25's. That is closer to the change I'd be making in the rear 38.4mm. I would think that would mean a consistent, flush look.

Just to confirm, the 18x9.5 +15 fit in front without a roll?

Ooohhh ok that makes sense. Maybe I'll just go with a 285/40 in the rear to add a little extra beef and see what it looks like once it's installed.

Ha ha thankfully there isn't a wife to be criticizing my current spending habits. I've said I was done spending money on my Z before and that I definitely won't be replacing the stock v1 touring wheels because I do like the way they look... but then I got bored one day.

No worries, man, I'm even worse. I got bored and came home with a new stray car.

My personal preferences for 18s: 265/35f & 285/35r, 275/30f & 285/35r, 245/40f & 275/40r.

I might be in for new tires very soon...currently mounting the 04 touring rims: http://www.finishlinewheels.com/prodimg/ALY62424U.jpg
I believe all four of them are 18x8 and the current setup is 245/45/18 rear and 225/45/18 front.

My 350z isn't lowered and I've been thinking of switching tire size for something more common since 245/45 is getting pretty rare..
I'd love going wider but it seems a 245 on a 18x8 rim is pretty much maxed out.
Since it's always sunny here I was thinking of Falken 452, Bridgestone Potenza RE050 or Sumitomo HTR ZIII.
