Nissan Front Tire Warranty Extension Question
hi,
I read the bulletin regarding the front tire warranty extension, but I'm still unsure if my 03 350z is covered.
my 03 350z car bumper to bumper warranty expired in Feb 06. My car with 30k miles is still having front tire growling problem.
Is my car still cover under the extended warranty extenstion?
thank you

It should be covered since your under 36k, but I would go before youo hit 36k miles or you will be SOL.
Try this site http://www.nissanhelp.com for a full listing of recalls and other technical bulletins.
EDIT: Ops, I dont know why that 36 number always registeredin me head as mileage... wishful thinking I guess

The site says....
, Nissan is extending the warranty for front-end alignment due to tire noise until 36 months from the in-service date or October 31, 2005 (whichever is later) and unlimited mileage for 2003 350Z models, and to 36 months and unlimited mileage on 2004 350Z models.
This warranty has nothing to do with your bumper to bumper warranty or any extended plans added to it. The time frame for this warranty is based off of your in service date. What it means is you are covered up to 36 months or until October 31, 2005 (which ever first) regardless of the mileage you've put on before those dates. Sounds like you are out of the tire warranty timeframe.

October 2005 has passed. When was you vehicle placed in service (date)?

Is it correct that my tire problem will be covered under extended warranty?
thanks

The tire/alignment issue/problem with '03 Z models has nothing to do with your warranty or your mileage. This is simply a defect that that Nissan now acknowledges. You should have received a notice from Nissan that you take to your dealership. They will correct the alignment fault and install new front tires on your car. If your dealer refuses to do what Nissan has agreed to to fix this problem, you need to find a new dealer.

Actually, I took my car in december of 05 (while I was at 32,000 miles<36k on my 03) and I was denied by two dealerships. So odds are you're not gonna get new tires. Jerks wouldn't give me any sympathy.

He's probably confused. Are you the first and original owner? In service date isn't when you bought the car but when the first owner bought it. It doesn't matter what kind of warranty you have on top of the car, your in service date starts counting the minute the first owner takes delivery of the car. There's no way you can have a 2005 in service date on a 2003. I barely got Nissan to honor this TSB for the alignment and tires in 2004 for my 03. It was like pulling teeth to get them to do this. Sound's like you are SOL.
