Why try to cheap out on something very important that only costs about 100-150/pair to begin with?

I guess my point is, in this example Eibach set the bar at ~$130 for a pair of aluminum spacers, so therefore that's the "correct" price. I have no idea what their cost for the part is. This other company might be making much larger batches and therefore saving on machining setup costs. Or they may set their margin lower on the prospect of selling twice as many (due to lower price) as Eibach.

So what I'm really asking is, has anyone purchased this brand of spacer and if so what are their impressions of the quality of the part? Price does not always reflect quality. (Most times yes....but sometimes not).

Looks awesome MantisMan, I wanna know who the Nissan tech was that thought it shouldn't look like that stock.

xman, I have stock wheels w/ 25mm spacers all around dropped on Eibach Pro Kits, doesn't rub, don't need camber kit.

I think there is a D.O.T. rule regarding exposed tire tread outside the fender, i.e. it's not allowed. So the manufacturers have to sell the cars with retarted fitment so that they are street legal.

Default 20\15 mm wheel spacers handling problem

Hi all,

i have 2005 MT 350z,
Last week i had installed Eibach 20mm back and 15mm on front wheel spacers,
and beside the great look that they add to the original wheels in fenders alignment i had experienced a big change in handling of the car,
The wheel has become heavier, the car need a lot more steering input for any turn,
more understeer, the slip light come on + ABS interference during fast turns and during braking.

The car was wheel aligned a week ago and felt very balanced right after,
and now it's like the whole car balance is ruined.

What do you think ?

I have 25 mm spacers front and back. I don't notice any difference in handling or steering. The car still feels exactly the way it felt before the spacers were installed.

I installed 25 + 28mm spacer on my 2006 OEM wheels and I thought it felt great.

In regards to your "more steering input" .. I did notice this, but that is because the wheel is sticking out so much farther it just has a different feel to it. But its not a bad feel.

LMAO Always has the best the replies..

OT: Of course your steering will become a little bit heavier. But enough to complain about. Think about it, there is more force required to turn something that is further out.

I don't think you should notice any difference.

there should be little difference. your car may seem more "stable" and have a little more resistance in regards to steering.

slip and abs light is abnormal

Question for you guys: I had spacers put on today (had springs put on and had the shop put the spacers on too)..

The problem is that the lug nuts were too short for the bolts. The end caps of the nuts are being pushed out of the back. They said they had to order new/longer bolts (at like $4 a piece???) and will put them on and all will be fine.

I have an 06, with stock 06 wheels. Bought Ichiba V2 spacers, 20mm front and 25mm rear.

They put on the spacers, and used the Ichiba nuts to hold the spacer on, put the wheel on, and used the OEM nuts to hold the wheel to the spacer bolts.

Is this normal? I dont see how it could be, but I guess I could see it if the bolt is simply too long.

Has anyone heard/seen this before?

I have the exact setup as you except for it being an 07.

Stock wheels, Ichiba v2 spacers (tho I have 25mm's on front as well) and no problems whatsoever, fronts or rears, since installed, about 7-8,000 miles.

I did however use the nuts correctly (reverse of how you described it).

So you kept the stock lugs on the stock bolts, and the Ichiba lugs on the Ichiba bolts?

(and you have the brass looking lugs showing in your wheel?)

Hmm... actually no, you are right. Now I do remember doing it that way and wondering why it looked wrong. LOL

So yea, I did it exactly as you did, ichiba lugs inside, and I did not have any problems with the lugs being too short. I've removed the wheels numerous times since instal, and never had a problem re-tightening them either.

Only thing I can think of, besides the previous owner replacing all your hub parts including the lugs, is that I must have diff wheels than you. My 07 has the v2 18-inch Touring wheels. The depressions where the ichiba nuts fit are more than big enough. Didn't have to squeeze em in.

Interesting. I dont think the previous owner changed anything though.

These are my wheels, are they the same as yours?

Yup, that's them.

Gonna need another member who has the same setup to find out for sure. 25mm spacer + stock v2 18-inch Tourings + stock lugs. I'd also have the shop double check the fitment, especially the fronts, 20mm should definitely work fine.

Here's my rears:

Man, I dont know. I dont get it.

The ends of the bolts are pushing through all of the lugs, front and rear. I have no idea why.
