Go look at your car and see how it sits. Do you feel the front is sunken compared to the rear? Your call.

With hub centric spacers you will have the same amount of stress on the stud as running a wheel with the same total offset. Then with ARP extented studs , the stud is a hell of a lot stronger than OEM

Just check how big the gap is between the fenders is, and purchase the appropriate spacer.

yes the front is a little more sunk in then rear with +22 all around. i guess its a matter of taste. Ive seen 10.5 +12 all around and it looks good. Just not too many 9.5 +7 10.5 +12 setups i can see of.

question for anyone with rays extended lugs, if i put 10mm extended studs over stock, if i run wheels without spacers will i have problems with my rays closed extended lugs? i dont want to run into problems taking off spacers in future and have to put old studs back in

Default Wheels spacer help

Hey guys. I'm looking to buy a set of wheel spacers for the back of my Z. Does anyone know a good website to order them from that`s maybe cheaper than 150$ a set everywhere I looked so far. I`m hoping for 20-25mm ones.

If you feel like a gambling man with your wheels, you can try ebay.
Some are casted aluminum and "may" hold your tires to your car. If I am not mistaken most spacers ( even named brands) are all made from the same material just diff process of fabrication ( which makes the diff between em in quality, not to mention better bolts)

These guys make Aluminum/magnesium hubcentric spacers and are (from what I know) strong and light( just look at magnesium wheels)

http://www.b2autodesigns.com/product...oducts_id=5539

I would save my cash and get one of their kits which is 225.00 so its not a bad price per spacer. I am doing this, shouldn't take more than a couple weeks of saving.

You definitely want hubcentric and you're probably going to need longer wheel studs. This is a nice, easy way to bring your wheels flush but NOT something you want to cheap out on. Good luck and be sure to snap some before and after pics for us!!!

I have the ichiba v2's. 20MM all around and have not had any problems with them. They come with their own studs built in. People often sell them here, can just keep an eye and probably be able to pick up a set pretty cheap.

I ran 25mm eBay spacers for about 9 months last year. No problems, not a single stress crack or any sort of degradation of quality. Not saying that you will have the same experience but eBay can be hit or miss.

PLUS! I ordered one set and they shipped 2 without realizing. So I sold the second set and actually MADE money on my purchase. So I had a good eBay experience! lol

Thanks for all the great advice guys. That last post is a great deal for the pair, what do you guys think about 30mm in the back? Also the b2auto package look good but im wondering if 20mm in the front would be too much. Im not sure what the specs of my rims are right now but they r 245/40R18 tires with obviously 18'' rims. but as for the offset and such as of right now i dont know too much.

Find out the wheel specs and then decide on how much of a spacer you need. Wheel width and offset are essential to determining the proper spacer size.

You can go with 20MM front and 25MM back. Or 25 all around. Shouldn't have any issues with that. I have 20 all 4 corners, no issues at all, but I feel i could have went 25's in the back no problems. Same wheels as you if they are the OEMs.

Also: wheel spacer failure is -always- due to poor/improper installation. People using too short of studs (or just using OEM studs) with after market spacers and not getting enough thread on their lugs. Your OEM studs are made for your OEM offsets, if you're going to use spacers make sure you get the proper length studs, or get a set of spacers that has their own studs built in. Make sure you torque them down to spec in a star pattern.

quick question. I'm about to install spacers 25mm front/ 30mm rear. As I'm trying to torque the spacer down, the brake disc keeps moving/turning with the hub so I can't torque the spacers down. anyone know how I can keep it from turning with me as I'm tightening the nuts? thanks in advance.

This shouldn't be a problem for the rear but for the front, if you can't have someone hold the brake pedal down, you can try putting a long wrench or rod in between the studs and the ground. I've also used weights to hold the brake pedal down.

Have someone step on the brake or try to get it to engage with something else haha.
