FAQ: Official wheel "SPACER" thread!
#1102
Alright so these are the same wheels and tires I have. Looks like 30MM fits perfectly at stock height in the back and the 25MM sticks out a touch further in the front. I DID read the entire post, all 45 pages, and see nowhere where someone is running these stock 03 Touring Style wheels with a 30/20 setup.
Two questions:
Any rub in the back on the 30MM? I realize tires can be designed differently etc but it appears even without the back being rolled, I am safe. Is this right?
Also, I believe 20MM in front would make it look like the 30MM on the rear as far as how the tire sticks just a touch inside the fender line at the top. Is there any issue running the 30/20 setup as far as the VDC is concerned or are the only issues there strictly with tire size. I know VDC is more than just "traction control" in the regular sense and I don't like having electronic anything kicking in sooner than it is supposed to.
Thanks in advance guys and gals.
BTW I may do a MILD drop in the future, maybe 1/2 inch tops, but I am not looking to dump it anytime soon, or anytime for that matter. Not sure if this will play into the above or not.

Spacers torqued with antiseize
Hey guys, I installed my Kday 25mm spacers today and my friend put antiseize and only torqued the spacer 60lb/ft on the rotor. Knowing that stock spec is 80lb/ft and that antiseize is kind of like a lubricant, what do you guys feel about this? I am kind of worried that my wheel is gunna come off with the spacer while I'm driving... Thanks in advance!

I've been using Permatex SIlver anti-sieze compound on all my cars' lugnuts for ~35 years, always torqued the nuts to the stock spec, and never had an issue. Never had a set of spacer's, though, so YMMV. After reinstalling wheels and driving the car for a few miles, I always check the torque on the nuts, just to be safe.

I antiseize my wheel components, I would just torque them down to the 80ft*lbs and check it frequently…and don't over think it...

I have read through this thread and have seen a few hub ring issues....I Had these guys make several sets of spacers when running my Corrado. They make custom adapters to order. My last set were 5x100 57.1 hub from car to 5x114.3 70.03 wheel. They fit like a glove and are built to last. Going to buy my Z spacers from them as well. So if you really love your aftermarket wheels and want a one piece solution hub and wheel centric..these are your guys. Pictured are the last set 30mm rear and 25mm Fronts

Ichiba 15mm spacer question
I was given a new set of 4 ichiba spacers with studs. I have arp 60mm studs on all 4 corners and want to know if I can press the studs out of the spacers and secure it with the supplied lugs on my arp studs. Or install the spacers on my studs where they were pressed out of the spacer. They are the version 2 type.

I am on completely stock suspension and OEM 18" wheels. Do you all think my tentative tire and spacer selection will cause rubbing issues? I called a few shops and they said I should definitely consider rolling my fenders - especially in the rear. Please let me know what you think:
225/45/18 (front)
20mm spacers (front)
255/40/18 (rear)
25mm spacers (rear)
Thank you

props to Z1 Motorsports!
I finally took the plunge and ordered 20mm & 25mm wheel spacers for my stock rims from Z1. Ordered them on Wednesday, received them On Thursday! Excellent quality and finish.

Yes, I read the tutorial to the thread.
I would like opinions from my 350Z friends. Im running...hold your breath...yes. 20s, looking for honest advice please dont throw in the old "20s are too big for a Z"
I get it.
Specs:
245/30/20 Conti Xtreme
275/30/20 Nitto NT555
Axis Angle:
20X9 et20
20X10 et25
Im thinking of going with a 10mm spacer up front and 25mm out back. I measured and from the sidewall it is about a half inch up front gap and one inch out back. I would like these to be flush as possible but my only worry is when I go suspension work soon. **stance GR** will I find the spacers still work for my application when i change the suspension geometry? Any input or expert advice would be appreciated as I am somewhat Novice in the stance scene.
edit: After measuring again and looking at others setup would I almost be better off with bigger spacers instead of too small and I only mean in direction of 5mm. Im looking and with above measurements still applying would I benefit from a more aggressive setup at 15mm front and 30 rear?
