I like it enough that I just spent time on google looking for an example of someone who had actually done this.

Luckily my fronts seem to be good. Probably because they're thicker, 20mm instead of the rears 10mm... Still sucks though.

I have had the bolt-on Z1 spacers for a while now and the only issue I had was one of the studs in the spacer was not taking the nut without being stripped. Called Z1 and they sent me a replacement ASAP. Great company with great customer service. Maybe the slip-ons had issues but not the bolt-on? I have 20mm front and 25mm rear. Leave them on all year around plus I auto-X.

The 20mm I have in the front seem perfectly fine. Maybe the 10mm they made were just too weak. I haven't contacted them about getting a possible replacement because I didn't purchase the spacers/extended studs from them directly so I highly doubt they'll help me out. But like I said before, I did buy them new though but from another member here. When I received them, they were still in their unopened original packaging.

Now I'm looking for some better, stronger 10mm. Does anyone recommend a pair of 10mm spacers that they have personally had on their Z and have ran hard on with no issues??

OK what if you have to replace a wheel stud on a 25mm spacer? They are longer than stock and I can't find them anywhere!!

Default Spacer help

Okay so I have a question.

I recently purchased new wheels for my 05 350z and I realized that the offset is +40

BEFORE ANY ONE TELLS ME IM STUPID FOR BUYING 40 OFFSET, I AM AWARE THAT I AM STUPID AND MADE A MISTAKE.

anyway, what would be a good size spacer to get to make the fitment right, the wheels are 18x8 and my car is on stock suspension.

The general consensus is that 9.5 +10 is fairly flush. Using the calculator above on this site tells me you'll want a spacer of 49 mm which is just ridiculous. Sell the wheels and try again would be my recommendation

Thanks a lot man, I think I'm going to try putting them on (havent done it yet just got them yesterday) and then see how dumb or not so dumb they look and then go from there. As of right now I can get a good deal on a set of 20mm spacers so i was curious how they would make it look with it on there, I'd be okay if it was close to how to stock rims sit, im not looking for the wheels to be flush or have them stick out any, I just dont want the rims to be hiding in the wheel well or have anything rub. None of what I said probably makes sense but its late and im tired hahaha

Default spacers

yeah! try 20mm in the front and maybe 30mm in the back should get you pretty close to flush also should handle a bit better with the spacers, you should be the only judge what looks good to you! Try b2 spacers if your looking for spacers that's what I'm running now real happy with them.

18x8 +40, I would get 25mm spacers. Then again, before wasting any money on the current setup, I would buy new and wider wheels. I would probably even buy XXR's if I was in that situation and was low on funds.

2x pair 25mm spacers $200+
4 XXR wheels with proper offset and width $550

I would come up with the extra $350

This is the answer to your question. This is my Z with four 18x8 +40 wheels. I will have you know that as bad as it looks in the picture, it was much worse in person.

Also if youre going to run a spacer over 25 its recommended to buy the ones with studs coming out of them.

Or install extended studs so you can use the ones without the studs in them. But for extended studs youd need extended lug nuts.

Too much of a hassle, id say sell them and try again.

I did this mistake a while I got a 18x8 + 35 but the good thing is I only had 2 so didnt waste that much.

Sold em.

Your wheels would not look bad with 25mm spacers. I have Infiniti G35 wheels on my Z. They are 8" in front and 8.5" in the back. The offset is 30 and 33. Here is a picture with 25mm spacers.

OP, sell your wheels to the owner of Smart car and try again.
