FAQ: Official wheel "SPACER" thread!
Not sure when you NEED to have extended studs but I will say that when I bought my Eibach 15mm spacers, they sent me extended studs with them. So I feel like have 20mm or 25mm without extended studs is a bad idea.

start from the beginning...read this thread....
the thread tells you to: measure fender gap, run over a 2x4 board, measure again, follow the advise of the thread....make a measurement decision....say you chose 20mm spacers and then....could you end up not liking it and wanting 25mm...sure....oh well it is what it is...
thats mod'n....
sell the 20mm ones, get most your money back.....yep..
im not telling you to get 20mm ones, im just describing/giving you an example......

I have varrstoen es6 19x9.5 all around with i believe +22 offset and was wondering what kind of spacers should i run. I was thinking about 25mm in the rear and 20mm in the front but was worried about protrusion. Just wanted to get an input from you guys since you seem to be experienced with spacers and this is my first time using them.

i read a lot of the thread and i saw you described that anything less than 20mm would have protrusion with the OEM studs so that's why I'm guessing I'd need extended studs to make them fit. the wheels sit almost at fender level since they're 9.5 wide. I'll post a picture in the morning.
Hey guys I got an 08 350z. It has the stock 18" rims and I got a really good deal on some rims from a buddy that are 20". Ive never owned rims other than stock so I have no clue but in order for them to fit I need wheel spacers (from what I was told). The rims are BMW Ill attach a pic. Ive tried looking around but no success. Any suggestions on what spacers I need and any other useful information on the subject? Thanks !

You need a spacer/wheel adapter. Specifically ones that convert the 5x114 bolt pattern to 5x120. Without knowing wheel width and offset nobody will be able to say what thickness of spacer you need. BMW typically utilizes higher offsets than the Z so you probably need a thicker spacer to make it look good. Just a bad scene IMHO.
I recommend you ditch the wheels and see if you can get your $ back. It's more trouble than its worth and I think BMW X5 wheels would look like *** on the Z.
Those rims you got are bmw bolt pattern. They won't go on your Z directly

I finally got the chance to install 10mm spacers all around. To those contemplating on doing the same, there is no rubbing whatsoever. My rear fenders are rolled. Here are some before and after shots:

Specs:
Wheels: VR TE37 19X9.5 +22 / 19x10.5 +22
Tires: Bridgestone RE-11 255/35R19 / 285/35R19
Spacers: FIC 10mm Bolt On Spacers

So I have followed the 370z wheels on my 350z thread.
There has been no decisive word on which is better for the front wheels 20mm or 25mm, also I would like to know exactly which brand and set to buy. Some guys say 20mm is the best and others say they had 20mm and then went with 25mm.
I'm not looking to spend too much like more that $100. Just want something that will bolt up easy and is safe.

Thanks man and these are the 19" sport rays that are from the 370z. I've been looking into the z1 or Ichiban. I want a set that has the bolts on and are just easy put on and go. For the rear I was going to not put any on.
So I have been looking around the forums and I just need to know what size spacers will let the OEM rims on a base model 2008 z sit flush with the fenders. I don't want to have to roll fenders or any of that. Also if I do end up getting some springs to lower it from eiabach would the fenders need to be rolled when the spacers are installed? Thanks
Did you want it sticking out way past the fenders? Because if you do, you will need 30mm spacers. 19x11 +15 by itself is already a somewhat aggressive fitment, it will require fender rolling in the rear unless you run stretched tires. It will poke out in the front. Look through the 19" thread as this has been asked several times.
