Alrite so i plan on getting spacers for my aftermarket rims to make them sit flush
Rears 18by9.5 +35 offset 275/40zr18
Front 18by8.5 +35 offset 245/40zr18
Im lowered on Tein s-techs but after i get the spacers on i plan on lowering it more!
If i get 25mm in the rears and 20mm in the front will i have rubbing issues??
If so how much smaller of a tire in the rear will i have to go too??
I anit gonna slam it just make the fender sit right at the top of the tire LMK Thanks
Heres a pic of my Z if it helps!

370z rays on a 2007 350z
I bought a set of 19" Rays that came off a 370z and according to the info I got of h__p://wheelsmaster.com; I should be all set with a 20mm spacer in the front(245/35/19) and don't need any in the back (w 275/35/19).
Can anyone confirm this ?
PS: stock suspension with Brembo

I just received the spacers I ordered from eBay.
Here are some pics. Initial quality looks good. Pardon the poor lighting and pictures, I snapped these with my Blackberry.
Notice the hubcentric rings are separate pieces, they fit snugly inside the spacers. Not too hard to get in and out, but not lose enough to just fall out.

Nice, not bad at all.......roll with them and check the torque on the lug nuts here and there and if all holds up, even after a few mounts and dismounts....let us know...

I've got a question...so I just recently installed Eibach Sportlines, I have no fenderwell gap with the stock size tires (225/45 & 245/45). I'd like to get wheel spacers to get the "flushed' look, but It looks like I'm going to need to get a thinner tire size so I wont rub....however I'll lose the no fenderwell gap look...
I'm looking for insight to see if I can keep that stock tire size and use the spacers or if I'm going to have to get a smaller size.

When you talk about "fitment", it is a function of 5 things. a) Camber, b) ride height, c) tire size, d) offset, and e) wheel width
Something's got to give. So if you can't adjust ride height (because you have springs), tire size (because you dont want to change tires), width & offset (because you are keeping the stock wheels), then you can make your setup fit by adjusting CAMBER.
More negative camber will allow you to fit more aggressive setups without running into any rubbing issues.
ie: I am running a 265/35/18 on a 18x10.5 inch rim. It has a +15 offset and im running a 15mm spacers effectively making it a +-0. In order for it to fit on my car with current ride height, i needed to run a neg 4.4 camber setting in the rear.

no need to go smaller.

I admit it wears faster than a car at 'factory' specs but as long as the toe is good, the reduced mileage is insignificant. Your tires will become cupped tho. (not that its a big deal to me)
still if it concerns you, you can always have you tires flipped and rotated to the other side (dismount the tires and switch them so that the cupped edge is on the outer edge). This will also even out any cupping you get.

Do you remove the spacers due to safety reasons? Are spacers in any way dangerous to drive aggressive with?

then the 3rd set may need the spacers back on again............
I have had to do that -soooo many times!!
I drift on spacers all the time.......autoX with them, etc......
so long as spacers are installed correctly, torqued to spec - your good!
*i plan on going back to post 14 to edit that so its portrayed correctly....
is it safe?? - its as safe as you install them....

I believe it goes back to what i was talking about on post 198 about the manufactures machine tolerances for fabricating them.
Either way, i would say:
Getting them off:
yeah, what more really can you do. I used screwdriver, prybar and rubber mallet and would work them off.
Only suggestion i could add would be to spray with some PB blaster before you start with the prying to help you out a bit..
Reinstalling them:
I would suggest using some anti-seize lubricant and or possibly some lithium based lubricant to help make it easier when you may have to take them off the next time around.
First though, if your hub is anything like mine, its all rusted......i would tread it first with Klean-Strip Rust Converter.

I did a test fit today with my ebay spacers. They fit great!! The hubs fit perfect and it looked awesome. I will get some pics up asap. I had to removed them because I only tried em on so I could decide if I want the same, 20MM, all around or smaller up front or bigger out back. I am going to do 20MM all around.
I'm running Nismo LMGTs 8.5 front and 9.5 rear. The fronts had no rubbing, the rears did have a small amount at certain angles. I am trying to figure out if I should just get the rear rolled or what. I am definitely not doing a smaller spacer out back.
I think I will also pick up some of that anti-seize lube because the backs have a lot of rust on the hub and were tough to get off.
Now I just need to get my new tires and shocks installed and then put the spacers back on!
If I get an alignment after I buy new tires and have new shocks installed, will putting spacers on affect the alignment? Or cause uneven tire wear?

Okay! Here are the pics from the test fit. Excuse the condition of my Z - the car is dirty and the pics were taken with my blackberry. I have an 06 bumper waiting for install and will be painting the hood at the same time. Also new tires and shocks next weekend. Gotta roll the rear fenders before I put the spacers back on though.
Specs: front 245/45/18, 18x8.5 +5 front, 275/40/18, 18x9.5 +10 rear, achieved with 20MM spacers all around. Will be going 245/40 in the front when I get my new tires this weekend.

Jason,
I have nismo GT Rays 18x9 +30F, 19x10+30R, tires are 245/40/18 and 275/35/19's. I bought ichiba verII 20mm spacers for front and rear. Once i put them, do i need wheel alignment?. Or does it affect it all?
This thread is very helpful not only for newbies but vets as well!!!
Thanks,
Cris
