I'm pretty sure you have it. I was looking over the sticky the other day, and it seems only the bases in 03 and 04 don't have it. Should be able to scroll through the multi-function gauge and you'll see dashes if they're not installed.

Q: I bought a (2003,2004) base model Z. Can I buy sensors or wheels from another model and put them on my car?
A: Yes you can but they won't show the pressure on the multi-function display (triple-meter) or warn you when the pressure is too low. Your car doesn't have the antenna to pick up the signals from the sensors and your computer isn't setup to display them.

Light comes on after a longer drive. Goes away at restart. Lose the TPMS, who cares?

Default TPMS

Does anyone know if running without tpms will disable the ability to shut off the traction control?

It's not a warning like the CEL/SES light so there is nothing to "reset" or "clear" it other than turning the car off then on again.

Shops can't clear it or turn it off. It would be illegal for them to attempt to defeat it.

If your older car came with 17" wheels, then no, you don't have TPMS. All Zs from 2007 and beyond have TPMS.

Two systems are not related in any way at all.

Dumping TPSM was one of the greatest decisions I have made with my 350z, that low pressure sounds is stupid annoying.... And in the winter time in Texas temperatures go up and down so much...

I think you are dangerously confused. People are talking about removing the sensors which triggers a warning beep after driving the car about 30-45 minutes. The low pressure warning sounds are a totally different issue. The whole reason for the push to have TPMS is that the majority of tire failures are caused by underinflation. If you were having that "problem" then you are the kind of person that needs TPMS. If you can't maintain proper pressure, you're probably wearing out your tires prematurely as well as putting yourself in danger of a blowout.

I think I need to explain alittle further. The temperatures would go from 60-70 degrees in the afternoon to 30ish degrees in the morning, in the morning, the sensors would read about 30 psi, but after driving a few miles and the tires warming up, they would go to 32ish psi and in the 70 degree weather would be 35. SO, my tires were properly inflated and it was just annoying to wake up every morning, go out to my car, have it make an annoying sound and then after alittle driving the pressures would be fine. I do check my tire pressures 2-3 times a month regardless of what the inaccurate tpsm's say, or the lack of them.
