Tire ripped on highway
yesterday my rear right tire ripped on the highway and i have a headache rn
i run 275 35 18 nexen n9000 on 10.5 all around and ofc they are all out of stock (disappeared from the face of the earth)
the next model is nexen n7000 or n5000 plus which the tread pattern is totally different.
a similar looking tire and thread is probably the federal ss595 but it probably wont sit the same on the rim as the n9000 does on the rear left
I know that you should run the same tire on an axle but...

same thing happened to me, had to let the car sit at the tire shop until the new set of rear tyrz arrived.
had to get them ordered cause they don't normally keep those sizes in stock.

I'll be nice and remind folks that not everyone has spare cash laying around for minor emergencies...That said-
OP, "Best Practices" state that the tires should match, real life can throw stuff at you. In a perfect world yes, buy 2 matching tires. In the Real world, get something with a similar adhesion score and drive with caution until you understand how it's gonna behave.

OK, shaking my head.... last weekend, almost rear ended a guy because he had to slam on his brakes to avoid the tire that came off the wheel of another car.
Wife asks me, "What causes that?! I hope that never happens to me!!"
"It won't. You see the car it came off of? Beater piece of sh... Didn't even know to slow down once he lost the tire probably because riding on the wheel rim feels the same as on that junk tire. Cheap *** car, cheap *** tire, most likely NEVER had the pressures checked."
"That sounds a little uppity."
"Yep, maybe.... Suit yourself babe, next set of tires for your Highlander.... four for $150 specials instead of $225 PER tire."
She laffs..... "Nope, that's your area. Don't be a cheap ***."
Moral: Don't mess around and cheap out on tires or brakes. Everything else is doable if it dies. Tires, brakes, not s'much. As was said, "gotta pay to play."

If you can't afford expensive tires get a old civic, whether we have money laying around or not, the fact still stands this car isn't kind to tires and isn't for cheap tires. Do research before buying the car lol.
