Smile 350z vs RX8

listen i know im gunna get alot of bs for this thread but whatever
im 18 yrs old and a 350z has been my dream car since i was in grade 8.
im now in university and going to start looking for *the car* after winter probably march -april
i love the 350z my buddy has one. but im also an rx8 fanatic. 350zs tend to be more expensive i can purchase one with just over 60 000 miles for like 11 grand 03. or i can buy an rx8 with like 55kmiles 05 for 9500 10 000$
this is if i can get the insurance deal worked out the way i want it to be. or else i aint getting ****.

suggestions...

(i know im going to get alot of responses on how **** rotary is) but if you know how it works and can maintain it properly you wont have problems. i know alot about that car. but the 350 sounds like more of an ideal car for me because im sure it will have less problems than the rx8 in the longrun and last me a much longer time aswell as give me much more power and torque.

thanks alot guys

rx8 sucks down gas pretty badly and is sluggish in acceleration, it's pretty low power. it handles like its on rails but it's too weak for my likings.

get what you like, not what a forum likes.

There's a good reason the RX8s go for less.

I would sell you mine: 350z Track Model, supercharged and smog passed with under 20,000 miles, garage kept and covered with all maintenance records for just a little more then that one. But then I'm in Calif. not where you are. I had a baby and now it sets in the garage. But buy the Z, you won't regret it. They're a great car.

^Spelling Fail but +1 on searching or go to a RX8 forum rather than asking here.

From what I've heard about Rx8's they are incredibly thirsty for gas and oil

do not get a RX8 they are complete junk. bad starters, clutch pedals, trannys.
They are gas guzzlers like crazy and they are not near the perfomabce standard of a Z.
My buddy owns one i know.
The only thing that is nice is the interior.

well i have a buddy with a rather modded rx-8. Granted i think they get a lil more power per buck, but the Z is way faster from stock and all the way bolt on mods. Just like the Z you have to love the car to being willing to loose what other cars get rather easily some times.

If you want a rotary, get an RX-7.

Stay away from RX-8's. You'll be extremely disappointed if you go that route.

The rx-8 is the rx-7's redheaded bastard step child. They should have never stopped producing the rx-7. Rx-8...Do not buy.

Oh, btw, the rx-7 is my favorite car of all time and I still went with a Z instead of an rx-8.
